With all of the talk with the new tyranids being released..... I want to start expanding my nids more! So for 2000 i Got this:


HQ: Winged Dakka'rant, Thorax Hive 240
HQ: Winged Dakka'rant, 230

Elite: Zoey Brood: x2 100
Elite: Veno Brood: x2 90 (both split)

Troops: Termagants, x20 10 w/ devourers 120
Troops: Termagants, x20 10 w/ devourers 120
Troops: Hormagaunts, x20 100
Troops: Warrior Brood, x3, x2 Deathspitters, Venom Cannon 110

Heavy: Dakkafex 150
Heavy: Mawloc 140

Dima w/ Tyranocytes 275

Total cost: 1140

Formation: Living Artillery: 400

Warrior Brood: x3, X2 Deathspitters, Venom Cannon 110
Biovore Brood, x3 120
Exocrene 170


I do not have the IA book yet but am getting it... Also we play with a 1% rule. meaning we can go 1% of the max points if needed. So technically It can be 2020......

this list makes out about 2075. :(

Looks easy to trim...lower the percentage of Devils, trim the Hormies to x15... While you're trimming, at 2000 there is just no reason Not to take a Thorax Hive on anybody who can take it. It is just too nessisary to counter AV.

Also, should I run the devilgaunt in the pod or the Dima??? would the Dima be more viable against SW?

also this is silly, but I have never had to before so I am not sure... but a model like the Dima can NOT charge a hovering flyer right? or can it?
