Just a silly idea I had, Would it be effective? A Tyranid army designed to spawn spore mines. Biovores, Harpys and the new unit that can be made from the tyranid drop pod box that can produce spore mines every turn. Offcourse with a bunch of other units too, But also trying to maximise spore mine production. Would it be fun or intresting?

I was thinking of this too! Let's give it a shot.

1500 points on the nose.

2 x Flyrant with the works

Malanthrope in a bastion with a comms relay

Zoanthrope

Mucolid

Mucolid

Harpy w/Venom Cannon

Harpy w/Venom Cannon

Sporocyst w/Venom Cannons

Tyrannofex w/Acid Spray and E-grubs

-In a pod (stock)

Biovore x 3

The basic idea would be to deploy the Bastion w/Malanthrope, Zoan, Biovores and Flyrants in your backfield, with the Sporocyst deployed about 6" in front in some kind of terrain. Everything else comes in from reserves. Ideally you'd want to go turn two, and try to drop the T-Fex in their backfield. Zoan starts in cover near the bastion for the 2+ cover save, then runs up next to the Sporocyst and casts dominion, giving you a 48" range synapse bubble.

I so want to make an all spore army... Well, or mostly spore army. Lots of mucolids (because Gork are those models beautiful!), sporocysts, harpies and maybe some spore mine clusters just for fun. I don't think it would win many games but it would be lots of fun!

Krush, stomp, kill!

Monstrous Creatures cannot be inside buildings.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

When people ask, "What's the point in understanding everything?" they've just disqualified themselves from using questions and should disappear in a puff of paradox. But they don't understand and just continue existing, which are also their only two strategies for life.

Malanthrope is not an MC. It's an infantry unit. Its size tends to throw people off.

Is it now? It used to be a MC. I guess that changed in IA4 2nd edition.
