My secret fortress at the base of the volcano!

Taking a cue from the DE codex, the BA HQ section has been culled. The only SCs remaining to the BA are Corbulo and Tycho. In the place of all the SCs who got the axe, GW has modelled up brand new SM Captain and Chaplain models for you to use as your own generic HQ selctions!

All of the special abilites of the deleted SCs are now available as random Warlord traits that make it impossible to plan a reliable strategy around, so you can Forge The Narrative harder!

Emperor's Eagles (undergoing Chapter reorganization)
Caledonian 95th (undergoing regimental reorganization)
Thousands Sons (undergoing Warband re--- wait, are any of my 40K armies playable?)

There will be a Blood Angel specific Drop Pod that will start the game 'Immobilized' exactly like a current Drop Pod. However it will be Fast, and you will pay an extra 20 points for this awesome rule!

I think the funniest thing about this thread is the very unenthusiastic title.

BA drop pods will be re-named to "Blood Drops" and the drop pod assault special rule will be changed to "Tears of Sanguinius". The actual wording of the rule will remain unchanged but the BA pods will suddenly cost 10 points more because of it.

Edit: I just googled ablutions and apparently it does not including dropping a duece. I should have looked it up early sorry for any confusion. - Baldsmug

The Blood Angels will possess a new Psychic power that mechanically function very much like Demonic Summoning, but it allows you to sacrifice a Death Company member to become the embodyment of Sanguinis. You will have to use the Forge World Primarch Model, to be released at the same time as the codex.

Ain't Poe's law grand, oh great and powerul Mod?

The Red Marines will have a Strikeforce that is nearly identical to the Blue Marine strikeforce except it has a unit of Super Red X Marines and the models are painted Red. It will also be called the "Wrath of Baal Assault Force" and cost $25 extra.

In the warp, searching for Marbo

For only 5points more, you can upgrade the Assault squad to take Jetpacks!

Also, red thirst has been changed. For every To Wound roll of 6 in melee combat that goes unsaved, a model in the unit receives +1 Wound. This can even counter act death should it occur at same initiative! This is to symbolize the Blood Angel tearing the throat (or similar body part) out and drinking it dry!

After all these years of searching for Marbo...he found me. Heretics beware! He's back!

New LoW. Vladimir von Karstein - even comes with an aristocratic she b&€ch from Hell as an attendant for 2500 pts. Box set retails at £200 and is a compulsory unit in any BA army.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

Death Company now just use the Legion of the Damned Rules, but can take Rhinos, Razorbacks, Landraiders, Stormravens, Wave Serpents, Ghost Arks, Night Scythes, and Tryannocytes as Dedicated Transports as long as you paint them red add "Blood" to the beggining of their name at +10 points to their regular cost.

Blood Angles have modified the standard bolter and now call it a Blood Bolter apart from that it has no other rules apart from the blood prefix.

Jump packs are also known as Blood Packs and the smoke that comes from the jets is dyed red, this has no effect on the games rules.

Blood Axes
Blood Pact
Blood Slaughterer

Now I know Unbound is a thing, but will Blood Angels be the first army to reach into Warhammer Fantasy and pull units out of there? They're teaming up with Dark Elves and their Khaine Cauldron?

There will be a new variant of the Stormraven called the Bloodraven. It has the Assault vehicle USR, Fast, Sponson Multimeltas, Turret Mounted Twin Linked Assault Cannon and wing mounted Assault Cannons. It will also allow you to elect one unit, either friendly or enemy, to remove from play on a 6+. If it is a Relic then this roll will instead be on a 2+.

BA units now get "Blood Type" upgrades a la Marks of Chaos.

There are 4 marks: Types A,B, AB and O.
No IC can join a unit of a different blood type.

No O type IC can join a unit of a different blood type

Type AB IC can join a units of A, B, and AB blood type.

Types A and B ICs can only join a unit of the same blood type

The new codex will be the last book by Matthew Ward, and as such he has made the power level OVER 9,000! just to be sure he is remembered fondly by his fans.

And for some reason its been renamed Codex: Ultramarines

If the battle being fought is not under Night Fighting rules, any unhelmeted model must Save against a S10 hit every turn or be removed as a casualty.

They also treat any river or other flowing water terrain piece as impassible terrain.
Can’t charge any Black Templar unit (or anyone else boldly displaying a cross)
Fear any unit owned by a player eating garlic heavy food. At -2Ld is they smear greasy fingers on their miniatures.

Chinese re-casts all move like jump infantry (even if lacking JPs) but don’t have the other drawbacks.

No, no you got it backwards.

Type O ICs can join anyone.
Type A can only join Type A and Type AB.
Type B can only join Type B and Type AB.
Type AB can only join Type AB.

Once the first supplement is released, then the various Types will get subtypes - either positive or negative. An IC with a negative subtype can join any allowed as above, regardless if the joined unit is positive or negative. Positive ICs can only join other positive units.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

When fielding it you must speak in an annoying accent and on turn 5+ you must roll a die. On a six it is stolen by another chapter. Also you must constintly insist that it either is or isn't based off of a pre-heresy chaos flyer.

"Because the Wolves kill cleanly, and we do not. They also kill quickly, and we have never done that, either. They fight, they win, and they stalk back to their ships with their tails held high. If they were ever ordered to destroy another Legion, they would do it by hurling warrior against warrior, seeking to grind their enemies down with the admirable delusions of the 'noble savage'. If we were ever ordered to assault another Legion, we would virus bomb their recruitment worlds; slaughter their serfs and slaves; poison their gene-seed repositories and spend the next dozen decades watching them die slow, humiliating deaths. Night after night, raid after raid, we'd overwhelm stragglers from their fleets and bleach their skulls to hang from our armour, until none remained. But that isn't the quick execution the Emperor needs, is it? The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The Wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always!" —Jago Sevatarion
