Any suggestions on loadouts vs. a mixed Tyranid army (Flyrants, dakkafex possibly, some gant blobs, probably running LAN) - Imperial Fist chapter tactics.

Do I want to spam MSU (5-man) - do I take a special weapon (which one?)

Or 10-man and take heavy weapons?

Is it worth putting a combi-weapon on my sergeants? Melta-bombs?

Rhinos? Razorbacks? (and which weapon?)

Assault Terminators? - in a LRC, or a Stormraven?

Stormtalons - Stormstrike ML's or Typhoon? (I am thinking S8 vs. Biovores - he may spam a lot of them - plus AP3 seems good versus his MC's!).

Stalker any good?

1850 points. Any list advice or tactical advice would be really helpful - I feel a bit lost!

Your typical marine list will do fine.

Grav biker spam
Centstars
Drop pod marines.....
IF bolter spam

That is just a quick start. You got WW, and Thunderfire cannon for ignore cover. Plenty of AP3 options for hurting MC's. StormTalons will hurt flyrants. The stalker will probably be a better choice than the Hunter for FMC duty.

Missile launchers are better than Lascannons against 'nids. The extra S and AP don't really get you anything for the cost.

Rhinos or Razor depends on your squads. Assault Termies are probably better in the raider.

you going Eternal War or Maelstrom?

Tac sqds can do very well with basic equip, extra so with Fist tactics...so Flamer, and Heavy Bolter. And it's dirt cheap.

3 stormtalon with the str8 ap 3 missiles and you win. Just leave your 5 man tac squads in rhinos if he has mawlocs to hold objectives and assault with melta bomb and krak grenades if it gets ugly.

land raiders also give nid players a big headache, especially the one with the str 6 flamer on it.

In case you re afraid of dakkafex, put 3 man grav cents in the LR and then its your opponent that will be afraid.

Combi-Grav Sergeants are very useful giving a decent number of shots against MC but still having normal guns for little gribblies. Plasma gun in the squad, or a Flamer, is better as a stand alone weapon though. Exception of course is a nidzilla list. Five man Sternguard can hold their own very very well, but standard tacticals need more. 7+ atleast and they can be a threat worth killing. Grav bikes would be very useful though. Best of both the Grav weapons for big ones and Bolters for the little guys.

Thanks for all the advice guys.

So:
Chapter master on bike TH/SE

Sternguard in drop-pod (combi-melta?)

2 full tac squads with combi-grav and PG, ML or maybe Fl, HB, rhino.
5 Grav-bikers

2 Stormtalons with typhoon

Stalker
TFC
Grav-cents in a LR (probably go with LRC)

It'll be Eternal War.

Edit: at 1850, something has to go - either a tac squad, or the sternguard.

With Nids, it should be the Sternguard. Dropping a single pod of power armor in front of nids is like handing candy to a kid.
