Trying out an idea for a flier/DS list since we get drop pods back.soon. Fliers should start behind something so you can ideally go second. I used to like null deployment so I'm thinking this will give me back some of that old fun I used to have with that. 5 OS DS troops help, flier spam, etc.

Looks interesting! But you really should find points for Thorax Hive(s)...I'd dilute the Devilgaunts down with Spinegaunts/vanilla Termagants myself.

I may. The Drop Spore Exorcine and the Crone are my primary vehicle hunters, although the Devgant Drop Spores should put out enough 6s to glance some AV10 back armor if necessary. I think my main issue is only having the two flyrants for synapse so I'm going to have to try and keep them between the other flyers and out of LOS or range until I kill anything that targets my fliers.

Yeah, I tend towards "too much Synapse? Impossible!" myself...I really don't think of Tyrants as Synapse, they are too busy zooming around doing stuff to provide Synapse. But with Drop pod infantry/Troops, it's hard to see how to add more in...if you swap one unit of Termagants for Warriors you get Synapse, but lose a lot of fire power...

I suppose you could drop Mawloc, and toss in a Malanthrope, that would also help vs Alpha strikes as well....

I was thinking About Drop Pod + Exocrines aswell, Im taking 3 Dakkafexs with drop pods, but was thinking of chancing 1 to Exocrine for the S7/AP2.

I keep going back to I dont really need AP I need more glances/Pens against Eldar/IG tanks and when I look at 12 Tl shots (needing 5/6's) compare to 6 S7 (Not TL) but only needs 4/5-6 for glance/pen. Thats Why I might do 2 of 1 and 1 of the other, IDK if 2 Dakkafex's or 2 Exocrines are better.


Other than that, the lists looks fun, Im loving drop pods, let us know how your game goes.

It's Forge World...IA #4? second ed?...I'm sure you can find the info here on Dakka though...I just assume the rules come in box myself...
