This is my first my first attempt at a competitive CSM list, I know we have a lot of problems right now but hopefully this list can do well. Please let me know what you think.

HQ - Lord/ bike, PF, Burning Brand, MoN, Sigil.

Troops

2x Plague Marines (6man) w/ 2 flamers and rhino
champ w/ power sword

Cultists (35)

Elite

3x Hellbrute with extra heavy flamer

Fast Attack

Bikes (5man) w/ two meltas, MoN

Helldrake w/ baleflamer

Heavy Support

2x Havocs w/ 4 Autocannons

Defiler

The idea is to have the lord with the bikes. The hellbrutes are using the Mayhem Pack formation. Please let me know what you think, Im tired of getting beaten into the ground by other armies haha

This is me being completely fluff and cannon, but the Iron Warriors don't usually dedicate themselves to the Gods drastically. However, I like this list. The only problem I have is with the 3 Helbrutes.

There's no turning back... Triumph or oblivion.

List looks solid although kinda light for 1850.

The havocs just don't seem to fit the list to me. They are a very vulnerable unit with nothing to support them when the rest of your army is deepstriking or pushing up field. The lord looks a tad heavy on points as well.

Three Helbrutes are perfect candidate for mayhem pack. Same points and they deep strike in together, roll on the crazed table and get IWND.

This! Walking AV12 6" at a time doesn't work too well. DS them in makes me happy

I like the list. Tweaks I would consider...

You could do with plasma-ing up the plague marines to take on 2+ saves, it would also let them sit back if you needed to.
The defiler could do with re-branding as a maulerfiend to give your bike something to keep pace and assault at the same time as them. I do like big templates and you could go to a vindicator if you don't want to run a maulerfiend with the bikes.
I like the two units of Havocs. You should be able to find cover for two small units to make them a little more robust.
Agree with the other posts about the lord being too expensive. You could also consider getting a combi-weapon for the bike's leader to really put the boot into (plasma - terminators or melta - vehicles)

@ Decay:

I agree with you, the problem is that going unmarked I feel is a death sentence. It would be ignoring a large part of the codex. I choose to believe that they are tough because of mechanical augmentations rather than disease haha.

@ Goldphish

The havocs are there just to tear up light vehicles and infantry . The defiler would sit back with them and fire away at things until something got close and it could then assault them.

@ Everyone

The lord is only 180 pts.

How would you guys run him?

You need more AP 2, maybe a vindicator or a tri las predator. I play a very fluffy nurgle list myself and i ususaly run plague marines with plasma. that fnp as a bonus layer vs overheat is great.

@ boltstaff

How do you deal with hordes?

I would love to run a vindicator but Im concerned about the range of the gun. Do you run into problems?

I like the Hellbrutes, they are a nice potato that you can se for many things.

Get rid of your havocs though. And replace them with soemthing more hardhitting. A predator annihilator (3 las) is good, or perhaps the shooty version of the maulerfiend.

Let the galaxy burn.

@ triplegrim

Why do you like the tri-las predator over the havocs?

The twin linked Lascannon and the sponsor mounted lascannons are going to do more hull points of damage against AV12+ than 4 autocannons on a statistical average number of shots.
