Apologies I voted Farsight bomb assuming a genuine bomb build but from the list I then changed my mind and went necrons as his Farsight bomb is either dropping with just 3 crisis wielding plasma or 2 crisis suits wielding fusion blasters.
Then it got worse as I saw the report and he cheated combining the crisis squad and bodyguard squad into one bomb. This my friend is not part of the rules and he cannot do it. He should just put the 3 plasma crisis as part of the bodyguard in the list, pay the premium in points and then drop them as one squad.
Let him off for being new but please read your codex before running skewed lists. Also rather than running cardboard proxies would it not be better to run smaller games to get him used to the game mechanics??

Just my two cents.
Yea, haha, thanks for bringing this up. We play pretty casual / for fun so I don't worry about it too much. I'll talk to him. Regarding the cardboard, they have been playing for now 3-4 months and have probably thirty games under the belts. Unfortunately, they are poor college students in the middle of the semester hoping to get into something other than 750.
Honestly the tau list is built about as badly as possible.
Farsight is completely wasted as there is no real bomb, the other two commanders are a pure waste too, as they don't give anyhting of value for their cost.
can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

Like stated, a newer player trying out bigger lists.
