Tales from the Borderlands is an upcoming episodic graphic adventure based on the Borderlands series, with a planned release starting in late 2014 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game is being developed by Telltale Games in partnership with Gearbox Software and 2K Games, the developer and publisher of the Borderlands series respectively. The game will follow a similar episodic format that Telltale has used for its titles The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, where player choices and actions will have significant effects on later story elements. In addition, the game will include some of the gunplay that the Borderlands series is known for.
Excited and purchased the game. In the trailer, is that the same voice actor that voiced Brock Samson?
Cheers

Yes, that was indeed Patrick Warburton (Brock). Telltale Games made an amazing WD game, so let's see how somebody else handles Borderlands. I'll be keeping a close eye on this one. Thanks!!
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I did get quite the idiot grin when I heard everyone's favourite walking blonde apocalypse.
I really did enjoy the setting of Borderlands, and was hoping someone would do something a bit more with it, so I'll be keeping an eye on this. Won't be able to play it for like a year owing to lack of access to a proper computer, but hey, that's what Youtube lets plays are for, especially for what is effectively an interactive movie.
Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.
I'll be buying this one for sure, though I think I'll play the pre-sequel first. Given the time between episodes I think that I could buy the pre-sequel and have it completed by the time the last episode comes out. That way I'd then play this game after and be able to catch any references to it. ...And that has nothing to do with me waiting for the pre-sequel to come out on a Steam Sale. Looks good enough, and perhaps it'll give a bit more depth to the series beyond all the shooty shooty bits we've seen previously
Can't wait for it to unlock and preload, I've been a massive fan of the Wolf Among Us and to a lesser degree the Walking Dead. Can't wait to see how they apply this all to the craziness of Borderlands.
Do they keep with the over the top, ridiculous levels of humor? Cuz if they try to make it a serious thing, I'll have to skip, as it won't be Borderlands. But if it's ridiculous, I'm in.

Spoiler:
You meet a guy who was pretending to be a stuffed statue in his museum of stuffed and mounted NPCs from the other BL games.

edit.
I'll be honest, after the depressing grimdark gak you had to go through for the Walking Dead games, which seems to get off on suffering and making people feel miserable, this is a breath of fresh air and it is amazing.

I loved it, characters, soundtrack and more. Did you guys warned Felix about the bomb? At end the statistics weren't in his favour. The chariot race scene was loco and the ending was also interesting.
Hoping we get to see Maya or Axton in the next episode.

Must have been a blink and miss it thing, as I didn't notice her in the preview.
For those who missed the pre-order bonus, Steam just started yet another sale, and they've got it with a 10% discount. The current sale should last through the start of next week.

Haven't played them (I'm not a zombie fan). My previous experience with Telltale is The Wolf Among Us, which is pretty good (and not for kids in any way, shape, or form). Tales from the Borderlands represents almost a complete 180 from Wolf stylistically. Fortunately, this doesn't appear to be a problem for Telltale.
The Wolf Among Us is a great series, loved it. The comics aren't half bad either.
The Walking Dead on the other hand, I played through the first one, many tears were shed, I played halfway through the second one and just quit, because it was getting too much for me. Not just in terms of bad choices you were forced to make but also the stupidity the characters show oh so much.
