Both can raze a planet.
Assuming they meet on the same planet 5 miles away from each other with an average dustance from the Eye of Terror, who wins?
Obviously Rau'Keres would just throw it into orbit at a battleship or some gak but how would An'ggrath do?

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Against an Imperator Titan? With game rules? Probably the Titan. The titan's got an absurd number of absurdly huge guns with absurdly long range and is probably carrying a huge number of troops to boot.

When GW put up rules for it on their website with the release of the Apocalypse Reloaded book in 2008, it had 12 structure points and 8 void shields, in 7E parlance, that would be 36 AV14 hull points, and could equip itself to toss out something like 18 Strength D large blast attacks a turn on top of 12 S8 AP2 massive or apocalyptic blast templates a turn and 6 S10 melee attacks per turn.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

An'ggrath is toast if the Titan gets any sort of bead on him.

With the given situation, the Titan wins every time.

From a lore perspective.
On the TT An'ggrath will still kill an Imperator in CC.

Maybe eventually, if the Stomps and slow CC doesn't squish him first.

Well he probably isn't going to kill it from range...

But yeah the key advantage here is that An'ggrath can fly. An Imperator obviously has a massive firepower advantage, but the majority of its weapons are designed to deal with other Titans and ground based superheavies/structures and would struggle to hit a fast moving FMC. They definitely have anti air weaponry, but I doubt the main guns (i.e. the ones which would be doing the real damage) would even be able to elevate high enough to shoot at something above it. If it doesn't land a hit at range it is definitely dead if An'ggrath gets up close - he just punches his way into the cockpit and murders the crew and it is no longer a threat.

Yup. Flyers are why Mega-bolters exist.

Also, as I recall the Warlord and Imperator have a different type of mega-bolter than smaller vehicles have. Its a larger caliber weapon.

Grounding test is on the 1-2 at the end of the shooting phase and only if you pull a wount through.

Even flying he needs to glide for a turn before he can charge. He would be toast.

The one that has invisibility wins, eh. The odds of Chaos getting / casting / denying invisibility are much higher.

If you want to know a fluff result...it depends on the author's pov and plot needs. An'grath could shred the titan to bits and than be accidently killed by Draigo falling out of the warp on top of his head.
Or the titan could reduce An'grath to red puddle with it's mighty weaponry but fall on a huge banan peel, damage it's reactor and catastrophically explode.

They could both die this way more or less simultaniously.
