I just thought of it... I haven't done it before! just a theory.

what if - hormagaunt are outside synapse range in begin of tyranids turn.. roll for instinctive behaviour and I dont like the result, move synapse creature to get synapse range inside single of hormagaunt model to cancel instinctive behaviour i dont want?

and can I "volunteering" to automation fail a leadership test for Instinctive behaviour?

Look at when the roll for passing or failing instinctive behaviour happens. and how long the effects of the result they rolled last.

or the short answer of No to both. Once you fail , you have failed for the turn. And so far nothing in the nid Codex gives you the option to voluntarily fail the I.B. Test.

Most of the results I understand.
But I have one question:

IB Hunt says, if any of the models are Fearless, treat result 1-3 as 4-5.
So at the movement phase a synapse creature goes over to the Gone to Ground, gives it Fearless, they stand up, can move, but have to shoot at the nearest enemy, with Snapshots, and cannot Run or assault.

Is that correct?
