Executing Exarch

Firstly, welcome to playing Eldar

I would split the Vypers into two squadrons - the Scatter / Shuricannon one wants to be shooting at completely different targets to the bright lance ones.

I would drop the missile launcher on the Wraithlord down to a bright lance - Missile launchers are weirdly over-costed in the Codex. I'd also suggest swapping the scatter laser for another bright lance (two shots are better than a single twin-linked shot) and swapping the shuriken catapult for a second flamer (you'll be using both lances in the shooting phase, saving the 2 flamers for overwatch or softening up infantry before charging).

Without upgrades, the Exarch in the Dire Avangers is difficult to justify - you get slightly more accurate shots, but for 3 points more you could get another Avenger instead for more shots and more wounds. I generally only add them to full squads.

The Banshee's will be difficult to use - the Wave Serpent isn't an assault vehicle, so you'll spend at least one turn getting shot to bits. "The Internet" will tell you to drop them, but if you're set on them go for it.

The Autarch sticks out a bit - You're not using his reserves manipulation ability, and presumably he's accompanying the Banshees? (Possibly he's with a DA unit?) either way, I'd suggest a Fusion Gun instead of the Catapult.

Anyway, just my 2c, pick and choose which bits to listen to

Eldar have the most useful psychic powers in the game.... Try a farseer instead of an autarch. Nice ways to run the farseer is on a bike with a jet bike squad so he can get around blessing/cursing various units.

I agree that Banshees are probably not too great due to eldar not having assault vehicles, I'd take infiltrating scorpions instead since they can start higher up the board, if you insisting on a cc squad.

I'm new to Eldar too...
I'm coming to the conclusion that jet bikes are a solid troop choice, a good place to pop a character and good at capturing objectives.
Scorpions for the infiltrate (as mentioned before) unless you know you are facing loads of 3+ armour saves.

One think worth pointing out is that the Scorpion Exarch with his power claw thingie gets to strike with it before other powerglove wielding lunatics (and because he has a high Initiative it will be before most power weapons). It's not unwieldy you see. Okay its only strength 6 but who cares if you are up against terminators or the butt end of a LRBT.

Hawks for the skyleap and haywire grenades

I think you could be mighty disappointed if you nip out and get 3 vypers at the 1000pt level.

The wave serpent may be better with TL scatter lasers and a shruiken cannon. They you can use the TL scatter laser to get a lock on flyers and TL the serpent shield and shruiken cannon attack.

Quanar is spot on about the wraithlord. You can throw points at the thing and make him a bullet magnet or you can keep him (or her) cheap and they will still be a bullet magnet. So I think keep it cheap, and double flamer it up as, lets face it, you're probably going to be out numbered.

The 'internet' would quite rightly tell you to take DE allies for a Venom or Raider if you want to take Banshees.

For a 10 pt upgrade the scorpion exarch can become str4 base which means a S8 AP2 powerfist at initiative 6 and it's not a specialist weapon so you get an extra attack form having a pistol.....

It would be good to know what kind of models you have.

Frankly, I'd take a Jetseer and 2 full DA units in Serpents.
This would give a decent core.
Vypers are too fragile and therefore only used as point fillers in a gun line.
Wraith lords are meh, too slow and too less damage output.

Youd be surprised the amount of people who dont want competitive advise.
Just letting the OP know that the list isnt competitive. Which he, like many others, could or could not want.

Nicky, you gotta edit your posts and remove the individual point values, it breaks forum rules. I know it's probably an army builder cut+paste but still...

Wraithknight can't fire all those guns at once, best to drop the starcannons on it, and use the points to buy a unit of jetbikes to escort your farseer, I would then suggest dropping the second avenger unit and reducing the size of the first unit one by 4 in order to give them a transport. 6 living avengers in shooting range are more useful than 10 corpses in your deployment zone. Aside from that, the list seems decently solid to me
