So I'm putting together 2 boxes of ravenwing black knight. To maximize their value I've decided to model my banner a little different.
I would make a normal biker but I wanted to model a normal space marine holding the banner and magnetize it to that biker base so when I use em as a command squad I'll have the banner and take him off when they are not a command squad.
Will I get called for any of the two things mentioned I the tittle?. As far as the banner goes for their effect I will still measure form the bikers base so I don't think it'll matter much.
Just want to see what the community things in both a friendly and a tournament setting(I don't play many tournaments but thinking of attending more)

Did you think about magnetizing the hand on the biker? So he can switch between banner hand/weapon hand? And then doing the same for the command squad guy?
But regardless, sounds pretty okay rules wise to me.

Most people don't mind a little customization. Since you're using the proper rules by measuring by the base and not the banner, you should be more than fine. As for WYSISYG, I don't think they would get mad if they can clearly tell what it is supposed to represent, custom made or not.

The problem is that the banner is being held with the right arm, and I'm saving all the free right arms to use em for my DV bikers.(I'm cutting off the plasmaguners arms and magnetizing all special weapons to them) Automatically Appended Next Post: And thanx I guess it's a go then

Isn't it going to be a bit of a squeeze to fit both a bike and a regular marine to the same bike base, or am I misunderstanding?
My suggestion would be to make it as a magnetised extra-big back-banner, replacing the winged-bit at the back of the bike? Should look less weird than some banner dude running to keep up with the BK's.

Took me several readings to understand what OP is actually wanting to do!
The best way to do this is to magnetize the torso of the banner man or the arm with the banner instead of just magnetizing the full command squad tactical marine onto the bike base (assuming I have understood this properly).
In the case of the torso magnetization you will have:
1. A biker body with biker legs (but no torso)
2. A pair of legs on a 20mm base
3. A torso with a banner
4. A torso with a bolter/whatever
You need to take a bit of care with posing so it doesn't look silly (especially since he will be driving the biker without having his hands on the steering wheel - not a problem imo).

do not bother with magnets, drill a hole in the wrist and glue paper clips in. This technique is called pinning, except you do not permanently glue the 2 pieces together.
