Properly orky, I love them!

It's also nice to see blue orks for a change. It gives a bit more contrast and lightens up the models.

Excellent stuff. Can't wait to see more!

Love these! The quality of painting is nothing to sneeze at, but the conversions are what really make the models, IMO.

There is not this idea.

Blue orks! I love them.

This may be something obvious, but I have to ask. How do you get the smoke like that?

Thanks all.

Here's the one of my other post that explains how I did the smoke trail.

And here's the the Noswhats.

1. Cut a lenght of rod over the amount of what you need(cut of what you don't need later). The diameter could be as big as you want. A paperclip will do just fine. On the blue Orks I used 1/8th acrylic rod.

2. Break up some clump foliage(comes in a veariaty of colors) in small pieces and super glue it to the rod in random spots.

3. After this has dried for a while, water down some PVA or Elemer's glue and apply it to the foliage. This helps it stay in place for painting. I suggest a few coats. If you keep the watered down glue in a container, you could just dip it in a few times after each coat dries. I was able to spray mine on with an old spray bottle I had around the house.

4. Then paint it up how you like. I spayed mine black because I started with green foliage. Drybrushing Codex Grey over the all the foliage. Making a big patch, I used Mephiston Red and then Blood Red in a slightly smaller patch. Fiery Orange was next in a even smaller patch. You could go as small as you want with lighter colors.

5. Cut the rod to fit your project and glue it in place.

Thanks for the in depth description of how you did it, Gundor2. I've got to give that a go sometime, it's got such a nice solid but still airy effect.
