Yeah, the decals on the shoulders made me shed a tear.

The terminators are the suckiest part of the box, I think. The SH terminators are so much better sculpts. OTOH, you can use them for any company, and there will be many bits that will be generically useful. But I have so many terminators (because GW loves pushing them...) that this will never be a problem, lol.

I have a set of unpainted TH/SS Terminators that were going to be done up in Crimson Fists colors, but I almost think I might paint them up as Blood Angels instead. Still, I think I can make the Tactical Terminators work. I know they aren't exactly optimal, but I probably won't field ANY Terminators since those Elites slots are better used for stuff like Sanguinary Guard and Sanguinary Priests. I will dress them up to be Blood Angels as best I can though. I guess I will need to get good at molding blood drops and wings. I will see if I can make a mold of the Blood Angels icons to attach to the Terminator shoulder pad.

EDIT: You know what would be great? A Blood Angels Upgrade sprue like Dark Angels get! Complete with some conversion stuff for the Terminators!

I'm getting a box.

I know the terminators suck but imagine if the rumoured death co termie box is genuine. The additional bits that will come with the box will be well used with the normal terminators to blood angel them up

Oh please let this rumor be true. I would field a complete army of black Space Marines (they would be led by a Reclusiarch, though I might actually paint the Reclusiarch red). The rumor was that it was a dual-purpose BA Terminators and DC Terminators.

I could try to get the small rule book, but am not getting the whole set for it. The models are bad and have a low resell value. If someone plays BAs they already have jump packers and dreadnoughts, terminator with miss geared terminator HQ are bad. Same with the nid models. Carnifax is maybe an ok model, if someone wants to pod it, the rest of the models never see play or nid players already own them.

I dread to think what an IG starter set would look like if GW ever made one.

I have the mini book, enough space marines and don't want to start nids.

All gw is low resell. Oh because all blood angels must be jump packed? New players dont, a vet wanting to start doesn't. Termies, somewhat dull but usable. Termie hq is multi part kit. Who cares what he comes with when its was to swap bits around?

Are you just whining for whining sake?

I imagine a guard one would come with guard squads. Kinda easy to work out.....

Yeah, wouldn't that be awesome? I'd love a BA upgrade sprue with iconography and conversion stuff.

And you are absolutely right about terminators. I wish they would give terminators a bump, since they seem to want to include the models with, well, everything, the lore says they're awesome, and the models are great fun to paint. It's not like they are terrible units; there are just always other units to go into those Elite slots instead.

Not buying it, I do not play either army and I do not need another rule book.

If they did a Chaos VS Guard, I would buy MANY of those!

I don't think people care that much about the looks of models. The problem is that shoty terminators are bad, an HQ in terminator armor is bad too. Dreads are bad. no one knows if DC or assault marines will be good or bad in the new dex, but even if they are good, RAS are the unit type that BA used with two codex already. Now if there was a squad of the new tacticals inside with the heavy flamer and grav gun, it would be much better.
And swamp bitz with what? Terminators will be bad no matter what one does with them, unless the rumored DC terminators are somehow super good. Problem is they aren't armed with SB and fists. And if someones has the parts to build DC termis, then he already bought a box of terminators and already has ones he can repaint.


And it is not just the BA part that is bad to resell. I can't agree with you that all GW has bad resell value. Good units sell realy well, specialy in places in the world where a GW store isn't on every street corner and shops get max 2 of a unit type to sell. Secondery market for riptides, serpents etc is just fine.

I have loads of Nids, not really wanting to start another Marine army ( ihave 3 1/2 already) and already have Space Hulk

also not convinced about 7th ed yet so sticking to older system.
