Subject: Best List for a DA Bike Army?

Hey guys, so I'm going to be trying to get some bikes soon. What are the best ideas for them? Do you usually run them in a squad of 6 plus the attack bike? Also, do you guys ever take extras like a Las Predator?

What do you face? What do you like? How many bikes? Too many questions. Plasma for heavy, mc, and light vehicles. Melta for heavy armor or back up mc hunter. Attack bikes I equip with mm for some outflanking harassment. I also use vindicators to threaten my opponent away from my bikes. Two of them scare my enemies allowing my bikes to harass. If my bikes are ignored then I'll send some pie plates out and remind my opponent why vindicators hurt.

Unfortunitly, White Scars if you want to win. :/
Dark Angels? Eh, good luck. Why White Scars? Fantastic Warlord (Khan), rules you don't have access to for his entire army (basically, ignore difficult/dangerous terrain), and Graviton guns.
GW did it to the Dark Angels again. They gave the DA the Ravenwing, the Deathwing, and the Greenwing, but they are not as good as some of the Space Marine armies you can make out of the Space Marine codex.
Just, please. Don't use Dark Angel models with White Scars rules (seen that a few times... Blasphemy!).

Like above, the dakkabanner is usually considered the best choice ( I recall mostly put on a unit of Black Knights, with perhaps a character tanking shots. )
Some players also use Darkshrouds as a well placed one can increase the RW armys survivability by quite a bit.
Personally I used a SM CAD and DA AD force in the following way: Get a SM Smashbane on bike, and put him into a squad with Ravenwing bikers. Get the DA librarian with Force Field and try to roll for Invisibility. Should you succeed you have quite a potent unit. You now have a scouting SM Smashbane without having to buy special characters, and are free to use Iron Hands Chapter Tactics on him, while still playing DA. Getting Smashbane into melee on turn 2 is quite destructive against certain setups, I´ve had him basically solo 800 points of IG once, just going from melee to melee, breaking tanks inbetween.

Sounds great. Runic, if possible, I plan on running on a DA only list. I know an SM detachment would be great, but it's not really how I want to play them. If anything, SM would be my AD; I'm a DA player first!
I probably will take the Black Knights for their awesomeness, I just wish they weren't so damned expensive! A lot of this falls in line with the army I imagined, I just saw a lot of people taking all bikes and then 3 Land Speeders with Typhoons and was curious if there were other builds than that.

Just paint the marines white, instead of black and cut off the feathers on the back I have no idea why the bike squad models are so pricey, relative to the design/options/plastic.

Dark angels can get plasma almost everywhere else. For a bike squad go all in on melta. Also take all 6 dudes plus the attack bike and the speeder and then combat squad them. You now have 4 different objective secured units, 3 of which have melta shots. if there ever was anything that could make an imperial knight sweat it would be this. As long as you play your bikes smart and keep them out of line of sight your opponent will hopefully open himself up to many attacks of opportunity trying to either avoid or eliminate all those potential threats. Also if you are using them to outflank, with 4 different units it really mitigates the risk of making sure you have the unit arrive on the side of the board you need it at.
