Could be cool. Beyond Dead shot, Joker and Harley I know next to nothing about these guys, but the premise is good, and will lead to a very different type of 'superhero movie' than we've seen in the genre before.
But whoever this Leto guy is, he's going to have to work hard to beat Ledger.

Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Deadshot was pretty much the lead in Batman: Assault on Arkham (animated feature), and that was absolutely excellent.

I didn't say it was a good or bad thing, just that that was most likely what was going to happen. I get the impression it will be much in the vein of Assault on Arkham as far as the character dynamics.

I have trouble seeing him as Deadshot period. At this point, Smith is in my mind discount Robert Downy Jr., except in this case New Coke has turned out to be 100% better than Coke Classic  No idea how someone thinks of a guy as macabre professional as Deadshot and picks Will Smith for the roll...
