These guys look freaking AMAZING. The heads and left shoulders pads look out of this world, and the iconography is stellar. Although I'm not exactly sure why power armor would show off pectoral muscles, and the one guy on the bottom left looks like he's got a blonde friar tuck bowl cut

I guess I'm painting up a detachment of blood angels

In case anyone missed it, new codex and new model (sanguinary priest), too:

Who knows, hopefully more models next week

What do you think of the new models?

Love the new Tacticals, I'll be grabbing them for sure, although probably bash them with the other Tacticals to spread the BA stuff around. And I don't necessarily need another 20 Tactical Marines, so some will be getting Bolt Pistols and Chainswords.

Yeah they look great. Love that artificer armour, dynamic poses. Good job GW....

All except those 32mm bases.... (please don't start discussing that in this thread.)

Eh, they're marines. I think this would better have been something for FW to cover or just an extra add-on sprue, but whatever. Some of the wing bits look to get caught on stuff and broken/snagged. The wings on some of the weapons are just absurd, like the plasma gun & pistol. I'm also not a fan of bat-nipple armor.

The fangs also look truly stupid. Doubly so with the blondie boy-band haircuts.

I plan on buying some to convert to Minotaurs with the FW shoulder pads. I like the ancient looking armour!

"Because the Wolves kill cleanly, and we do not. They also kill quickly, and we have never done that, either. They fight, they win, and they stalk back to their ships with their tails held high. If they were ever ordered to destroy another Legion, they would do it by hurling warrior against warrior, seeking to grind their enemies down with the admirable delusions of the 'noble savage'. If we were ever ordered to assault another Legion, we would virus bomb their recruitment worlds; slaughter their serfs and slaves; poison their gene-seed repositories and spend the next dozen decades watching them die slow, humiliating deaths. Night after night, raid after raid, we'd overwhelm stragglers from their fleets and bleach their skulls to hang from our armour, until none remained. But that isn't the quick execution the Emperor needs, is it? The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The Wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always!" —Jago Sevatarion

Don't really like the nipples or fangs. Otherwise pretty good, if I was a BA player and needed some tacticals I'd probably pay the extra bit for these guys over the regular marines.

They look so great, all in them, the fangs, the armour, the weapons, everything.
I dont know why people complain to much about the armour, the hoplitas, the warriors of the ancient greek, wear this armours:

As the blood angels, they use to exalt the beauty of the body (regardless of gender), maybe poeple need to read more and expand their aesthetic horizonts

i like them and i would buy them on first chance
the only things that i dont like is :
1) some things realy look like a death company kit (moslty shoulder packs).
2) BA cant stand a scrach in their face so the blonde guy should be painted black ASAP . ( like a good captain we all know )

also the dices are alreay sold out......realy ? i wanted them

Most people get what they're trying to do, but its easier to take on ancient era classical phalanx commanders, it's another on space-borne genetically engineered super soldiers with guns and jetpacks

Tactical squads for BA.
That's the wrong approach. Leave them for the other chapters.
A BA army should be built around Assault Marines, with or without jump packs.

To be fair, technically they're still a Codex chapter, everything in their fluff back to 2nd edition adheres strongly to a standard Codex organization, which is still built around Tactical marines, and GW has done nothing to change that, they've just made Assault Marines very high profile for BA's.

Same thing hold's true for the Dark Angels, they really don't have any more terminators or bikes than other chapters, they just equip them and deploy them differently than an Ultramarine army would and is still at its core built around Tactical marines, despite what most armies on the actual table look like.

Yeah, but it's still kind of silly to make them a special tactical squad kit. Nobody plays BA for the tactical squads, so why not invest that effort into making a special assault squad kit?

I mean, that's a fair point, and I had the same question myself. My only guess is that they're going off the line of thinking above, or, less likely, re-focusing the army somewhat.

Wrong, the two BA players i my gaming circle dose that and combine them with assult marines to great effect.

I think they look nice, not freaking awesome nice but they still look cool. I like the fangs, i had with my blood angels this thing that as age and the curse took over, they started looking more like a vampire/their primarch with white skin, red eyes and blonde hair. The downside is they're a tactical squad.

Do they also sparkle? Do they have awkward love triangles with your friend's SW army?
