CSM Tournament list? Wait for it, it gets worse... I've decided not to use any of the Models from my usual Nurgle heavy list, which includes the Fisticlaw Biker lord, the Nurgle Spawns, Plague Marines, Heldrakes, and Obliterators. These are all the "Leftovers" that haven't seen the table in quite some time. Its almost a Narrative Experiment list. I looked at the collection in the drawer, and what I wrote out was this;

Lord= L.Claw, Aura, Burning Brand, Jump Pack= 140

10 Cultists- 50
10 Cultists- 50
5 CSM, Flamer, Combi-flamer- 90

Helbrute MM, Fist- 100
Helbrute, MM, Fist- 100

9 Raptors, 2 Meltaguns= 183
6 Bikers, MoN, 2 Melta= 186

Forgefiend= 175
8 Havocs, 4 Autocannons= 154
7 Havocs, 3 Lascannons= 161

Aegis Defense Line, Quadgun= 100

TOTAL= 1489

Now if anyone has a better suggestion, I still have some equally useless Possessed Marines, or Chaos Terminators left in the big drawer of abandonment to play too! I also have a Great Unclean One, a Daemon Herald, and about 16 Daemonettes I can bring out.

The cultists were supposed to be just a cheap troops tax. But I had 100 points remaining, so I brought out my favorite models, the Night Lords Chaos Space Marines. They can now hide in the shadows with the cultists on an Objective, going to ground and being cowardly. They might burn something, or get free Overwatch hits on whatever tries to dig them out.

The Helbrutes were also points plugs and awesome models I don't get to use. One is a converted Night Lord, and one is a Khorne brute. I march them infront of the Forgefiend for a Walker Wall bullet magnet somewhere midfield.

The Lord can dart between the Raptors and Bikers offering Torrent flamer support and Fearlessness.

The Autocannon Havocs take position in the ADL and Quad-gun, and the Lascannon Havocs take the best cover/ruin they can find.

AC Havocs and Forgefiend take on AA duties. Not having any Air myself negates some of the other lists preparing for it. Same with Psykers, but I do use them in my other list so I was avoiding fielding them anyway...

So How bout it? a little different... Certainly will Forge my Narrative alright!

Its a little messy as far as lists go, but I see where you are going: A gunline army with fast moving vehicle hunters

If you want to be really crazy, just go full gunline.

1500 Points CSM--

Chaos Lord- MoS, BBoS (Warlord)
20 Noise Marines- Icon of Excess, 20 Sonic Blasters
20 Noise Marines- Icon of Excess, 20 Sonic Blasters
5 Havocs- 4X Autocannons
5 Havocs- 4X Autocannons
Forgefiend- Hades Autocannon

Aegis Defense Line- Quad Gun

That's this many shots per turn from behind your gunline of Feel No Pain, 3+/4++ troops:

120 Str 4 AP 5
8 Str 8 AP 4
16 Str 7 AP 4
4 TL Str 7 AP 4

Just mind the 24" range....

Dude I get that spam and redundancy make for strong lists but at least get some blastmasters in there if you're going all out on Noise Marines

While it has a significant amount of firepower; without Blastmasters, the gunline proposed by changer is severely limited against AV14 (one model to damage).

As for the original list, I would find the points to get a fourth Lascannon, drop a Havoc and upgrade the Lord's AoDG to a SoC.

Do you have a 3rd Helbrute? I find the 3 deep striking helbrute formation more than useful. Don't know where you'd find the points though if you want to use that 5 man CSM squad.

Third helbrute is used in my Nurgle Army, so I wasn't planning on fielding, but that was my original route for the brutes....

And I only have 3 lascannons, a missile launcher, and an extra Autocannon as far as heavy weapons.

Maybe a deep striking GUO and a mob of daemonettes would fit better than the brutes and csm?

I disagree, his noise marines are specialized to kill GEq not MEq.

Adding blast masters will take away from fielding more bodies.

Why not take the 3-deepstriking crazed bastards in there? They're awesome. That's gona be much more frightening than just 2 footslogging ones. And would synergise quite well with raptors.

Comms relay would be almost mandatory here, however. Luckilly, you have ADL.

And i'd probably proxy lord as sorc. Jumppack sorc is actually reasonable and can help out with invisibility, psy-shreik or stuff.
