I gotta say, it's no Eldar tournament list, but it's actually pretty good and quite similar to what I've already been running with success.

It's lacking range, with only the razorback, StormRaven and 2 heavy weapons but it's fast, hard hitting and fairly durable. All of those miniatures are gorgeous too.

I'd probably change the librarian for another priest or Dante maybe though. This list would do well in tactical objectives missions.

Too bad it's a one click bundle and not something with an actual discount.

Pheeew, you almost let a positive comment go by without adding your bitter contribution MWHistorian... good catch.

I hear you on the lack of savings but I'm certain only a fool would have expected anything else in that regard.

Still it's a fun looking list.

Kind of like the iyanden war host. I went on to order the ghost warriors bundle which was about $100 savings and it's now sold out. Instead they have a $650 "1 click bundle". Thank you so much GW, tapping "add to cart" on my phone screen more than once is just way too much effort. You've saved my thumb from future arthritis.

To be fair the Ghost Warriors boxed set was released last Christmas.

It sat on shelves for quite some time, and they only ran out of stock in October/November.

Playing the victim card now? Lol my goodness. Well anyway, back on topic, here are the contents:

This bundle contains 53 plastic Citadel miniatures, including: 2 Blood Angels Tactical Squads, 1 Blood Angels Terminator Assault Squad, 1 Blood Angels Librarian in Terminator Armour, 1 Blood Angels Sanguinary Priest, 1 Furioso Dreadnaught, 10 Death Company, 5 Sanguinary Guard, 2 Space Marine Rhinos, 1 Baal Predator, 1 Space Marine Command Squad, and 1 Stormraven Gunship. (Not listed in contents, but there is also a razorback in the photo).

I realize it's not cheap but to my original point, it's a viable list and looks fun. The StormRaven would obviously deliver the terminator squad and Dreadnought, the DC and SG can deep strike onto objectives and the rest are in (fast) transports. Without the new book in hand I have no idea how many points it is though...

Anyone with the codex willing to check out the point total?

I think it's the old one with lots of BA tactical and death company extra bits. Looks cool though.

the current iyanden bundle also has more models in it than the ghost warriors box.

ghost warriors box= 18 models, 15 of the wraithguard, 2 wraithlords, 1 wraithknight. and it was 210 dollars or so.

the current iyanden bundle, no savings, has 5 more wraithguard/blades, 2 hemlocks, an additional wraithknight. so yeah it costs more.

More to the point, it's a decent enough mix of the various BA blinged boxes that you can build it into a variable force of your own choosing... (the only 'limited item' per say are Jump Packs)

So if you wanted, you could do say 5x Assault Marines w/2x Meltagun + dual Inferno pistol Serg, a couple smaller Tac squads and then a whackload of Death Co.

the legs on the Company Champion are not from either the Tactical or Death Company kits.

EDIT: oh Christ, it is the Company Champion torso from the Command Squad box. I'm slowed.

I'm not complaining that it costs more. It has a lot more models, obviously it's going to cost more. The issue I have is the ghost warriors box was around $370 of models for $270 which means a saving of about $100. The iyanden war host is $650 of models for $650, total savings $0. Why do I save more money on a $270 purchase than a $650 purchase when they're both bundles of essentially the same models? Because reasons. It goes against every principle of retail.

I know. I would be livid. It also got my hopes up for a new BA Command Squad that I would've bought in a heartbeat. The images are made using the parts in the box (nothing is shown that isn't included) but it is still a jerk move. I am going to wait until bits sellers start selling parts from the Tacticals and buy the Command Squad weapon sprue and make my own Command Squad.

This bundle is marketed to incredibly wealthy parents who want to placate their spoiled children. Not a particularly large market sector, I think.

Well to be fair, you'll get all of the pieces necessary to make that in the bundle; so the command squad 'does' look like that, if you want it to.

Btw, I plugged that list into the old codex with just some of the upgrades visible in the photo, it was already 2300 points; I'm very curious to see what it will be with the new book.

Oh I'm not buying it hah; except for the new sprues I've got all of those models in bulk already. I was just pointing out that for once the bundle looks like a fun and viable list.

It's because the $270 purchase was intended to be a Christmas big ticket item.

Also because all the items come packed into a single box rather than just being a collection of boxes pulled off the shelf.

I'd probably take it in a 2000pt list, but I'd drop the Sanguinary Guard, The Honour Guard and both HQ choices. I'd also give the Death Company a Land Raider Crusader. I'd also put a Lascannon (or at least a missile launcher) in the tac squads. It looks like a decent list, there's objective holding potential (tac squads), a good amount of specialised anti-infantry units (Baal Predator+Tac Squad Bolters), anti-vehicle units (Stormraven+Lascannons) and anti-everything units (Terminators, Furioso + Death Company ((assuming you put some thunder hammers and Infernus pistols in there))). Depending on whether chaplains still allow re-rolls to hit and to wound, I'd take either Mephiston or Astorath as a HQ choice. I could go with Mephiston and a Chaplain (just to be safe), but that would mean that I would have to drop the Baal predator. I might upgrade the furioso to a furioso librarian if I had the points. However, it is not the best idea to keep Psyker units in reserve where they aren't doing anything. Does anyone have a good idea for transporting furioso librarians? Also, can anyone clarify what the new Codex's rules are for attaching chaplains to Death Company?
