I am building an ork warkopta, and it needs a pilot. Well... its doesnt *need* one, but I have space for one and it would be good I think.

The piece I have found which works perfectly would be this:
http://www.bitsandkits.co.uk/ork-bomber-pilot-bitz-p-8879.html

Which is the dakkajet/bomma pilot. However, its out of stock, everywhere. (at least from what i can find).

The closest alternative I have found is:
http://bitsofwar.com/home/123-orc-driver.html

but its not really appropriate... i mean its usable but a bit off.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? or other bits sites i may not have tried? ebay doesnt have anything, at least not in the UK where im based.

Maybe buy the full kit, build a basic version of blitza bomber or whatever sells best on eBay and keep all of the other lovely bits for very little cost?

Hmm... can't say its something I had considered due to the expense, but its true that I would end up with a few extra bits for my box...

However i think it only comes with one pilot, so without the pilot it might not sell well?

Besides I like the bommer, so I may end up wanting one for myself anyway haha, but i cant justify the expense right now after spending so much on the pieces I already have (and not yet finished assembling).

Its a thought though, I'll keep it in mind.

A quick look on ebay's completed listings looks like you could get £20 for the plane in most cases.
If it was just sold un built and mainly NOS or built with the closed canopy then primed no one would know.
If you bought the box at 20-30% discount then you'd possibly get the bits that you want for free.
Worth a go?

No i havent, I will take a look and see what he is like

Otherwise I may well look into picking up a bommer for cheap and then ebaying it lol

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Well the trukk driver is a good find, as it pretty much looks the same as the bommer pilot...

However I guess other people think the same, as it is also out of stock everywhere as a "bitz" buy lol. Might be cheaper to buy a trukk than a bommer though, and I can cannibalize the truck for use in multiple conversions. It's a thought.
