What because we can choose any century and still refute peoples ideas that religion is evil? And is root cause of evil deed?

It isn't religion. Religion is simply a tool for their leaders to rile and corral them up with greater ease. Angry ignorant people are always going to angry and ignorant things. Removing their religion entirely would simply rile people up more, and even if you managed to remove it for good, they'd still exist. They just probably wouldn't be as organized.

It is more of a cloak than a tool. They hide the entirety of their truth behind a veil so that is used to drive more than it is used as a battering tool. People are the tools. Religion is the just paint on the outside of the tool.

Anyone that says Christians are blood firsty don't know the first thing about Christianity. Being a christian is more than just saying you are. If you say killing someone in the name of God, clearly aren't doing it in the name of god.

The definition of words are forged by actions and relevance to their actions. Looking to the Medieval Era, the definition of a Christian would be bloodthristy considering the main thing people would associate with Christianity at the time was the absolute dogma of the Catholic Church and the mercenaries it often entertained.

It all boils down to "Hate" as the primary motivator.

So this is how you go from discussing how sick the murder of large numbers of children, to endless discussion about the evils of religion and how the world would be different without it. lol.

You could say the same about the Pagan religions or hell the Muslims, The Jews, Any major religion has been blood thirsty at some point. Knights were known to be blood thirsty, they were not religious warriors. They were professional soldiers. They didn't care about god, only about fighting, yet they identified as a Christian.

I remember the Crusades Third Crusades in Particular where Saladin and King Richard fought on the battlefield against each other. The Two soon became rivals and soon friends. Resolving that at the end of the crusade, that anyone could go to Jerusalem. No matter what religion. That city is holy and should not have any bloodshed committed upon it. The First Crusade did something similar. After the First Crusade there was a hundred years of peace between The Jewish Peoples, The Christian Peoples and the Muslim people. Until the french arrived and screwed everything up.

Anyway... The Christians, Muslims and Jews can live in peace it has happened a lot. I.E. The Crusades being famous and quite romantic. But thats history for you.

Defiantly. These people use religion to hold power, wealth, and their own personal safety. The stuff is the Koran is no worse that the gak you can find in the Bible, but these extremists use religion as a way to gain power. Even if Islam did not exist, these sorts of things would still be happening, just under different guises, like political or economic groups (communists, fascists, Nazis, ect.). Not only that, it is a way to attack people who are different, give people any enemy, and they will follow you.

What?! Everyone during the time of the Crusades was a religious warrior. Literally every conflict in which a European country was involved had to have the sanction of the Church and at that time everyone cared about god.

You are waaaaaaay overomanticizing this (and misrepresenting a fair deal as well)! Saladin and Richard never became "friends" and they didn't resolve anything, they made the treaty because Richard needed to return to England and Saladin's defeat at Jaffa had weakened his position tremendously so he was forced to sue for peace.

Also, after the first crusade there was "a hundred years of peace" because the crusaders had massacred the vast majority of Muslims and Jews that lived in Jerusalem at the time and the fragmentation of the Seljuk Empire prevented the Muslims from making a concerted effort to expel the Christians from the region until Saladin manage to reunite them again. Despite this, all the Crusader States as they were called were under constant threat and attack by their neighbouring Muslim states.

They literally state that everything that they do is in the name of their Religion and their God, so what basis do you have to claim that they don't care about their religion?
