Hi, I vaguely remember there being a website that listed all the Black Templar models that GW has released so far, including all the limited edition models. For the life of me, I can't find it for some reason. Anybody kind enough to provide a link?

Thanks! Can you tell me a bit more about what came in the Black Templar command squad? Is the upgrade sprue the same sprue that you get in the BT upgrade box?

There were actually two captains. I think one of the packages was called "Black Templar Captain". The package I have says D and then PR09. It comes with a (power?) sword and a normal plastic backpack. The other one just says Space Marine Captain and came with the special edition 3rd edition intro box. He has a power axe and a normal SM backpack with a banner pole on it. He's described just as a Space Marine Captain, but he's clearly a templar.

I got this guy off of ebay for like $25 awhile back. I thought about keeping it just because it was rare, but I ended up building it. It was basically just the command squad kit with 2 sprues from the upgrade kit. Not the vehicle upgrade sprue.

Thanks! Do you know if the SM command squad box has changed between then and now? Do you remember what year the BT command squad box came out?

I am about 90% sure that the command squad in that BT box is the exact same as the current command squad kit.

I have no idea what year it was though.

Also. the guy on the cover of the box with no helmet and the gold skull icon on the back of his armor is in almost EVERY picture GW puts out that includes BT. He is seriously everywhere in his MK VIII power armor and power fist.

Thanks! I can probably get a rough estimate of the year by going back through the mountain of White Dwarfs I have. Then I can just ask here or on reddit if the SM command squad box has changed. Thanks!

The Space Marine command squad is the same now as it was in 4th edition when it came out. I don't have an exact year, but 2004-2005 is probably about right. There weren't really older models since Templars didn't have unique rules til 3rd edition, and didn't have unique models beyond the odd limited edition marshall figure until 4th.

This guy was Captain Draco, and he never had rules but was a limited edition model that was originally only at store openings I think:

I may be wrong but the guy in the lower of the two pictures (with the axe) came in the 3rd ed starter box right? Along with some marines and DE?

Does the guy in the upper picture have any BT iconography on the model itself?
