Stopped in my local gw to look at the stores space marine codex.... Couldn't find where it says bikers are troops for white scars....manager said he wasn't aware of any rule making bikers troops ("I think gw is trying to stop tricks like that." He said).....

Anyone?

Bikers are troops for any Space Marine Army if the proper HQ is also riding a bike. I think it's in the equipment list.

Yeah if a Captain(?) is on a bike I'm pretty sure he makes bikes troops.

I believe it were either Captains or Chapter Masters on a bike that unlocked Bikes as Troops.
And yes, GW is stopping with that since 7th now that everything can be scoring.
But let's not forget that the Space Marine book is from September 2013.

Captain and/or Chapter Master on a bike, make bike squads, numbering 5 or more members, troop choices.

I think Kor'sarro Khan does that, but don't quote me.

Khan gives Troops Bikes and also gives Scout on anything non-bulky (the good bit of the RG Tactics, in other words). Any Chapter can have Bike Troops with a Cap or CM on bike, other than BA and SW.

I fully expect this ability to go away when C:SM gets updated, though.

Correct. As long as he selects Moondrakken, 5+ model/Bike Squads can be taken as Troops.

I would not be surprised if GW released data slates to give the 7th ed books the same ability. Also wouldn't be surprised if they released a new Codex Space Marines faster, citing that it is the update to 7th ed. After they revamp CSM, DA, Eldar, and Daemons though.
