If someone gets a weapon destroyed result on a razorback with lascannon and twin linked plasma rifles does it loose both?

The rule states it looses a single weapon which I thought meant it only looses one, but this happened to me today and it was argued to me that it was was a single upgrade and similar to dreadnought powerfists with heavy flamers and therefore looses both. I was outvoted so wasn't going to argue.

What are your thoughts on this?

Dreadnoughts lose the flamer with their fist because the rules say so.

The weapons on a razorback are separate weapons that just happen to be mounted in the same turret. The fact that they are a single upgrade is irrelevant. By that logic, you would lose both sponsons on a predator to a single weapon destroyed result as well.

While I can see where your opponent and the others were coming from they are definitely separate weapons and lack the rules that cause that to happen on dreadnaughts.

Thanks guys, really appreciate it. I've spoken to the guy I played and he seems to have agreed with me. Apparently he found a 6th ed FAQ that says their separate weapons.
