There is some amazing Abaddon artwork out there,... that people have photochopped the arms out of.

His hair tower is not large enough in the above picture. It is supposed to reach halfway to spikes on his back.

Hah! How silly of you; how can failbaddon braid his hair without arms? The dirt and dust had finally crumbled his uncared hair tower!

Oldtimer alert! The old metal mini had a ball and socket joint at the wrist for the arm holding Drach'nyen, so technically it is Abaddon the handless. Just saying.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

So yes, it's not suggesting his Crusades failed, but it's also a pretty broad goal with no timetable for success, too. The suggestion that each Crusade has been part of a long con is a much more recent invention.

Here's the problem.

10,000 years and he's still in the Eye. By the time he finishes his plan, Terra will have been conquered by the Tyranids, then Necrons, then Tau. In that order. Maybe the Orks will sack it at some point, too.

I have fielded him countless times and he deserves the title Failbadon. He may have eternal warrior but when things gets removed with out saves of any kind...

10,000 years of failing, yes some success but for someone who has combined forces of chaos under his semi control, he could have at least taken cadia....

Much prefer Angron's Dominion of Fire myself. Call the Black Crusades Abaddon's Long Game all you want, but Angron's campaign savaged dozens of sectors for over two centuries and it gave us the awesome story The Emperor's Gift.

Think of something clever to say.

We all know that just because something is canon, it's true as well.

Yea, it's kinda hard to call any crusade successful if he hasn't even taken Cadia yet.

Poor lil guy. He was just following the orders of the Chaos Gods, and they are timeless and fickle. All they really wanted was a nice MLT- a mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe...

It's easy to consider them successful if you realise that conquering Cadia wasn't the goal of them and that each time he achieved his goal (getting his sword, taking the Citadel of the Kromarch, getting the Blackstone Fortresses, etc.)

Yeah, I would say that the Gothic War was a success for his forces, as he played hell with the Imperials, he took the Blackstone Fortresses, and led everything from a giant planet-killing battleship.

Are they walking from the other side of the galaxy? The Tyranids have traveled from one entirely different galaxy to another in the time it has taken Abaddon to... what? Sack Cadia?

as far as I know there's no knowledge on how long the 'nids have been traveling between galaxies. they could have been traveling for 50 thousand years for all we know.

What about Splinter Fleets? Do we have any numbers on how fast a splinter of a broken fleet can then move onto another system? Dawn of War 2 has the full brunt of a Tyranid splinter fleet from Leviathan hit the subsector for nearly a month nonstop.

nothing solid although it's obvious 'nids move at superliminal speeds. just the void between galaxies is vaaaaast

14th black crusade

Abbadon finally breaks past Cadia's defenses

Walks over to the nearest Cadian supermarket

Snatches a sandwich off the shelf

Bellows "WE CLAIM THIS FOR THE GLORY OF CHAOS"

Walks back into the warp

Heralded by his followers as their greatest victory over the Imperium.

Just as planned
