Oh okay sorry.

Yes. The HQ is a Magos Dominus/Tech-Priest Dominus.
Other Units.

– Fulgurite Electro Priests (CC unit)

– Corpuscarii Electro Priests (Shooty unit, combo box with the fulgurites)

– Magos Dominus

– Kataphron Destroyers

– 2nd Tracked Unit similar to Kataphron Destroyers, but assault oriented.

– Mechanicus Robot

That's what you were saying? Oh, sorry....

I don't really hand out benedictions, but if your own ministrations to your language processing units are nonfunctional, I will take a look at them.

Hmm not much in this one that looks too interesting other than the tracked guys, the HQ and the giant robot.

Want to see what the codex has to see if there is some sort of synergy with running with skitarii

That is what I am hoping for.
Some kind of actual synergy, something to make it make sense for this release to follow so closely with its own codex.
Protocols, formations, some kind of bonuses...something other than "hey they are battle brothers".

I really wish the Skitarii and Knight codexes could have been combined, especially now that they're coming out with V2 of the Knight codex one year after the last! They are still making an Ad Mech codex, so it would have been nice to have seen a more functional, single book that didn't cost $75 (assuming you're buying both the new Knight and Skitarii books).

Just don't buy any books for awhile and see how it shakes out. People rushing to buy books and then buying them again when they become part of a bigger codex is why GW keeps doing this nonsense. I'm not buying any Ad Mech related codexes until I see the rumored big Ad Mech codex. Then I'll decide.

Oh don't get me wrong, I haven't bought any 7th books besides the DE book. I can't validate this up-sale technique, especially when it offers so little value to the customer. I just wanted to get out that I thought that the could have done these books better.

Well I never bought the original knight codex book

And Knights arent unique to Admech, no reason to include them with Skitarii

I know, but what I'm getting at is trying to make value for a $40 book that contains the rules for ONE model (stick different weapons on it, and it's still the same one model). Before, it was $50 and people said "oh, well it's got a lot of new background"- what the heck does it have new one year later? Just survey data on how quickly rules can be recycled?

EDIT: these White Dwarf articles of the rules are always short on a number of rules that you need from the codexes themselves. Why can't they just have everything? Or, God forbid, they include the rules with the models themselves.

True, but this book has at least the 5 variants, possible special characters and formations.

True the original knight codex is a bad deal, but this one seems worth its price

It was $41, not $50.

No lol, none of the rule books are worth their price. It's just that you've grown accustomed to insane GW rulesbook pricing lol.

But specifically here, it's a book that *replaces* a book that is only a year old. That's just a bum deal right there.

Ahh, okay so $40 for one unit. And here I was thinking GW had actually compensated the price of the book a little given they recycled it in record time!

Honestly, if it's $41 for the following:
-The new Knight variants
-The White Dwarf datasheet(Gerantius the Forgotten Knight) that came out with Sanctus Reach
-The Adamantine Lance formation from Sanctus Reach

I would be relatively okay with the new book. There might be any number of reasons why they didn't have the new Knights ready to go at the initial launch.
What is inexcusable to me is the fact that "The Knight Companion Book" is now gone.

I did see that, I wonder why they got rid of it?

They likely did it a limited run on the book and it only just finished out the stock levels.

I waffled too many times and went for models instead of the book. I regret that very much.

I'm working on my Skitarii and next my Knights. GW really should have released this next batch at the same time as the Skitarii.Even with their own book, I'll be waiting until a combined book and only by a few random models.

There was also the Obsidian Knight. I'm betting Adamantine Lance will either be re-written or replaced. I'm betting there will be more to vary the knights, nothing going as far as FW but something in that vein. The first book was to test the waters, with this one we have to believe they're taking it a little more seriously.

So a question, is there a size comparison floating around of the onanger walker and some dust tactics vehicles?

Not perfect, but the Onager base is the size of a CD-ROM. If you can find one of those relics in your grandparent's house, set the Dust walker on top to see how well it matches up.

Huh, I'm still trying to get my father in law to stop using cassette tapes.

I have a bunch of Dust walkers, an Onager and Dragoon. I still need to build the Onager and Dtagoon, but once I do I can take some pics.

There has been a lot of speculation over the Cult Mechanicus forces, and of course lots of questions. Everything from are their transports, to are there any troop choices (rumors have been pointing to none)? Here are a few answers we get a look at the rumored units of Cult Mechanicus.

Please remember that these are rumors. I look forward to this one. I am really liking the Adeptus Mechanicus forces that are being released. Hopefully we will start hearing more details about these units.

via an anonymous source on Faeit 212
Cult Mechanicus is the same size as skitarii, Very few units and no fast attack options. There is also no vehicles. Just to clear up some misconceptions, here is a brief unit overview.
HQ
Tech-Priest Dominus
Troop
Kataphron Breachers/ Destroyers
Elite
Fulgurite/Corpuscarii Electro-Priests
Heavy
Kastelan Robot Maniple

The current thinking of many on this codex along with the Skitarii codex is that these eventually will all become one codex. Its hard to know for certain, but with rumors of a full sized Adeptus Mechanicus codex in the future, its quite possible that we will see these combined. It looks like the next few weeks will be all about the Cult Mechanicus. I look forward to seeing these models from the descriptions we have heard.

Can I make a Kickstarter to fund my plastic crack addiction? Gofundme perhaps?
