That is one seriosuly sweet range. Nice job GW - you've got your design head finally back on. Loving those Kataphrons......just how I imagined from the reads. Only thing I do want to change though is the heads on the battlebots......not so keen on them. Shouldn't be that hard to scratch up a different noggin for those lads though.

Any big D weapons in there on some of those megarobots perhaps?

Thanks for the info. Although now I can't decide which is worse... deceitfully selling the skitarii book only to include the same units in the ad mech book, or splitting the ad mech book into two... i guess the latter, while still crap, is at least a bit more honest

Not necessarily.

The reverse side of the poster shows the two different books(and TWO different painting books to boot, annoyingly enough!). It might be less of a "double dip" and instead just showing off the whole range.

Just a suggestion though.

I really really like those big robots, but I don't think they overly fit aesthetically. The Dominus looks cool too. And the Electro-Priests look suitably strange.

Not unsaveabl bad, but prety bad. The power fists look cool, but the other weapon option and the heads look horrific.

I like em, just a wee bit underwhelmed. Guess they just didn't fit my expectations. I still think they look pretty neat and will be a good conversion base.

Nah I like them. Their surface is just too clean. Add some rivets, bolts, pipes, tubes, or just scar them with battle damage and they'll look nice. The face doesn't have to be painted that way either. The head will look better in 1 color or two shades of the same color.

Hmm they look like less advanced versions of the 30k ones, which makes sense cause 40k is less advanced than 30k

I like em, and the electro priests and the halftrack guys.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who immediately thought of Baymax. I haven't even seen that movie.

Still think the Robots look terrible. But they might give me a reason to get some of the zealot assault droids.

The new robots look about the right size for these guys to work as stand-in's.

Found out what I don't like about the Electro-Priests. The skin is too pale, about 3 shades lighter than my skin. (and I blend in with some walls) Mine will be relatively tan.

But compare them with Onagers or Striders, for example. One model definitely shows much more designer commitment...

Yeah it reminds me of the engineer from prometheus a little. I think im going to go with a light flesh skin tone and wash it with a green to give it a sickly look.

Hmm, I wonder if the electoos on the priests will be sculpted on or not.

I'm loving the look of these.
Hopefully they'll be able to hold their own on the tabletop.
A nice force of them with a few Knights thrown in should be fun...

With GW priceing, I got a feeling they are going to be a pricey unit anyway. =P

But thinking now, It would actully be cheaper to use the new plastic 15mm leviathan's. lol

I'm hesitent to use the castellax as stand-ins for them. Because these new guys look quite abit taller.
