Let us say a single unit is in the highly unlikely situation of being surrounded by one of each of the four Assassin types: A Culexus, Callidus, Eversor and Vindicare.
Each fires in to the unit, then charges using the optimal choices where multiple weapons or ammo types are avaliable.
What units could survive and fend off the assault?

An imperial knight, only one of the assasins has melta bombs.
An equal points value of TH/SS termies would slaughter them as well, they're fairly resilient and every attack from the termies is instant death.

Perhaps the Deathwing Knights, as they can have 10 models with a 3++ and have a 2+
They also hit back with S6.
Vindicare: Can shoot 1 down, nothing special in CC.
Callidus: Let's say 6 under the template, 3 wounds and 1 dead. Will also nearly guarantee a kill on the charge.
Eversor: Probably no kills on shooting, 1 kill on the assault.
Culexus: Kills one in the psychic phase, another one in assault.
Well, that are 4 alive.. Guess that is not going to work out.
Maybe Knights or Titans?

GW had to remove him. They couldn't give him proper stats as he would have been completely broken. Since he was already OP, GW either had to severely nerf him or remove him. Don't worry though, he'll be back for 40K End Times.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
