Well, seeing as it took more than 3 guys to put on your Man Pants for LVO, this is no surprise.

Congrats to Trevor for Top Spot.
...
2nd place ... blanking.
Jonathan's Iridescent Marines and great lookin' display board take Best Paint ( I swear I could hear Axl Rose hollering "Get in the Ring!" ) as genestealers and Old One Eye are hopping the Jurassic Park style wire fence.
Ryan M. is a great opponent to lose to. No surprise he was awarded Best Sport.

Man, these RTTs continue to packed full of great opponents.Personally, I'm glad Walter got a Win against me. Marine Parking Lot is brutal. Well played, man.

- - - - - - - - - - - - -
Meta:
a. Trevor had daemons, and there were prolly 5 or 6 other daemon/chaos players, doing well enough. Cultists, Hell Turkeys, Blood Thirsters, Fatey, heralds and Khorne Dogs. 2 guys brought Brass Scorpions!

b. At least 3 parking lots, Battle Companies. And per the TO's instructions and Fatherly Advice, I think those games were finishing in better time or at least reaching Turn 4. Those armies did well enough. No 0-3, all losses that I know of.

c. El-Tau. Except for Andrew's full Tau, there were several Tau allies attached to the Emprah's Employees. Jay brought Harlies, I brought full elves. Besides mine, I think I saw only one, possibly two more WKs.

c.2 Darrel brought the Stanley Kubrick sicko elves (Dark Eldar). He needs to post some pix of those jet-engine bikes.

d. Dark Angels. Brandon G., Teddy and maybe more. Brandon had AstraM in his mix. I played against Teddy's list last week. DA continue to be something good.

e. With MikeFox not there, orks were missed, and I don't recall seeing Adeptus M. nor 'Nids neither. And though Karlos told me what his army was, I still don't know what's in it, chaos-tau?

Now this:

Keep in mind InterNet Pundits, lists are one thing, and I brought a brutal list ** but my poor Command Skills gave me my two (close) losses. Both opponents in post-game discussion pointed out a couple decisions I made that cost me victory and they were right.

Lists are important, but 40k is a better game, when
1. You play somebody who knows how their army works
2. there's less griping about "broken codex this" or "uber that."
3. both players play their armies to full potential

So, learn to play better!

done.

It's still fun to moan and piss about GW's prices and poor rules writing. That said, though I don't complain about broken cheese (I play it!) I need to be a better tactician.

** Tomb King said it was brutal. Endorsement enough?

Awww, the orks were missed.

We missed krumping heads as well but sometimes you need to go to the wifes friend's birthday parties with a smile on. Dont worry I was drinking heavily and rolling dice in my mind.

At least you had a Knight present in your evening (nice FB pix), still fantasy-ish, gamey, nerdy.

It also occurred to me that there were no Blood Angels (Danny K. was a no show) or Dead Robots at the tourney.

Some corrections.

1st was Trevor (KDK)
2nd was Pablo (UM Batle Company)
3rd was Carlos (Renegades w/Tau)

Teddy brought Taudar. Walter had full company of Dark Angels

Darrel also had an illegal list since he used the Kytan. Remember to check with the tournament packet or the TO when you want to use a unit with experimental rules.

There were, I believe, 4 battle companies and 8 KDK armies. There was 1 pure necron army and 1 ork army with a gorkanaught AND a stompa

Meh, I've pretty much abandoned this site to it's demons at this point so I don't care how much Casey talks here

Considering I continue to average 1W and 2L, yeah, my trash talk doesn't have much credence behind it.

And besides, your E accompanying you looked pretty happy to Be With Dad.

Kudos!

I dunno, Mike. My last match against John, I won despite having only 3 Crisis Suits left, and he with 20+ marines and several operational Drop Pods. A scathingly nasty post, bit of trash-talk. Verified by gameandwatch Andrew. And he's still with us.

Resilient S.O.B.

John, I might just give up on chasing you away from 40k.

With a day off of work, maybe I'll just work on material to drive someone else out. Hmmm. Who is gonna be an easier target?

I had a great time at KNM, losing many games to cool dudes. Better than defeating a TFG.

I'm ready to throw in whole hog. For you, John:

Pask. Plasma Pask. A vulture. Wyvern. With Jetseer council topping.

Mr. Mighty-TO, I request a Grudge-Match Challenge:

Last Month's Round 2 Opponent. I don't care if he wins. I just wanna ruin his day.

.... Talks trash on the 'Net, leaving facts out, changes the story, tsk, tsk ....

Heh, I'll end up with a Win and have to face Julio's parking lot Round 2. Bah!

If that guy doesn't show, how about Tau-Tom? He's fun to play.

Its a club challenge, so you need to form a "club" of 5 players

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Travis has added the event and first post has been updated.

We are currently at 4 Teams so only 4 spots left
