Here is a demoness that I painted up for a client a little while ago. I think she came out rather nice in the end. She's from the Darklands line (Mierce miniatures) and the details is quite good.

I've also put her up on CMON for anyone who cares to vote.

Shes looking super sexy, really nice blending on the skin.

The model itself is lovely, but I personally think that the basing is too open and plain for a model with such a small footprint.

Thanks, everyone.

She was definitely something of a challenge, and the theme I was given for her was to make her more grotesque. Honestly, I really enjoyed adding in the blood.

Can we see a picture of the back of the model? I'm curious how you did the join between the tentacles and the spine.

Uh-huh. I'm sure that's what you're interested in.

I do echo this sentiment, though. I'd like to see the back of the model as well.

That model is awesome!

I think the blood on her hip is well executed but detracts from the model. It seems to be too concentrated and in the wrong place for the blood on the base, sword, or whip. That said, it was what the client wanted, so, oh well.

Would you tell us what colors you used on the skin? I have a Slaanesh daemons project reaching the top of my priority list and I am super nervous about the skin. I'd love any tips or insight you can give because that's the look I want.

I don't remember all of the details on her, but I think the skin was basically Reaper's Vampire skin that went down with a little purple mixed in (P3 beaten purple). It went the rest of the way down with Reaper's Nightmare Black (my favorite paint- it is an extremely dark and saturated blue) and up with P3 Frostbite.

The thing that I've found helps the best with skin tones is to really consider the direction of the light and stick to it. Pretty much everything works better with zenithal lighting. This piece is lit very top down.
