To be fair, most of these things are subjective. I think Mantic's orcs and undead range are excellent, and the fact that they are so much cheaper means that you would need to be moneybags to go for the GW versions of the latter in particular. Which is why, at least from my experience, it's rare to see WFB Undead armies these days that don't have Mantic skellies in there bulking up the big units.
Every company (well, most) has it's share of stinkers for sculpts, I don't want to start ruining anyone's morning by starting to post pics of them on here!
Most of Mantic's undead are the best fantasy minis they make, and - just to make it clear - quite good. The orcs aren't overly offensive either. But too much of the range varies from the blah to the bluh!?! - the near-incomprehensible reasoning and muckups of the Basilean sisters and the drakons. (Though the latter seem to be off the webstore, now) For a bunch of ex- GW guys with experience, ambition, contacts and not-inconsiderable success, they seem to have a wee bit of trouble making good minis.
Had, I should maybe say. Some of the Deadzone minis are pretty impressive and I was waiting for that kind of quality when they turned back to KoW. Although... flipping it back again, not much from the 2nd ed kickstarter really hit me between the eyes.
Although we really are getting into subjectivities there.

Hm... That rat ogre thing looks like the arms can be used as alternates for hellbrutes with some crafty greenstuffing.

You mean the first lot cast in China that came back like little grey blobs and had Mantic customers raging as much as any GW fan at new-edition-time ever did?
Oh, you didn't.
Okay then.

Hexagona bases and octagonal bases would work for games with inherent turning or fire arcs.
They could be used for Epic Warmachines, or Battlefleet Gothic.
It would be nice to know how big these bases are, a selection of hex and oct bases of different sizes for a remade BFG would be awesome.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

GW used to do hex bases waaaaay back in the day oddly enough, I'm not sure what for though.
A lot of early RPGs used hex maps for combat.

There was talk of The white Dwarf editior at Games Day this year (last year) that Epic was to make a return (Wink Wink) in 2015, and it was a full game.
This seemed to die after I saw it on a blog who spoke with Jes over the weekend.
No idea if it was the usual tell folks bollocks to get them taking but when someone mentioned Epic above, it triggered the memory.
