I am in the process of building a Gaunts Ghosts army. Because the Tanith 1st and Only are a light infantry regiment I will be supplementing with other allied forces referenced in the Gaunt's Ghosts series as well as others. While various bits I have ordered from around the globe begin to arrive I have completed a few vehicles from the Pardus 8th Armoured Regiment. The Pardus 8th Armoured were featured in the novel Honour Guard as the accompanied the Ghosts in their defence of the Shrine World Hagia.

Comments and critiques welcome

First off, misleading thread title is misleading! I was expecting to see some camo cloaks, tattoos, and long-las goodness, only to be slapped in the face by a bunch of tanks. Shame on you!

However, your tanks look great. The weathering is spot-on, and I like all the extra stowage. Makes them look lived in. The Salamander Scout is my favorite, but that moldline on the autocannon might be worth going back and fixing. Bit of a blemish on an otherwise great piece.

It matter not how awesome these models are made, Im dissapointed there was no gaunts ghosts in it. Even the one guy there looks more Cadian than Tanith First and Only.
Or are these the allied forces? Why the Imperial fist symbols? Confused.

Edit: oh, i actually read your original post! Nice work!

Thanks for all the comments! And sorry to get hopes up for Ghosts, I promise they are coming. I've ordered bits from Victoria Miniatures, Maxmini, and Brother Vini's. Those combined with some Cadian, Catachan, and green stuff will become my Ghosts infantry.

Some long-las for your viewing pleasure. I'm still working out how to make the nalwood stocks, probably greenstuff. I may even scratch build my own lasguns just for the Tanith troopers and then cast them. The Vergahsties are all getting folding stocks as described in Traitor General. And thanks for the note on the autocannon, I don't know how I missed it!

About the Imperial Fist Symbol, that was an army marking on the IG tank transfer sheet. I have one of the old IG codexes which details army, company, and squad markings and have tried to stick to the fluff provided. While very similar the one I used here is slightly different than the Imperial Fist marking and it looked cool, so, there it is. Just an army marking so the Departmento Munitorum send all the tanks to the same battlefield.

I'm also working on designs for a Saint Sabbat model and figuring on using rules from the Inquisitor Codex to run her, or making my own Lord of War rules for her for casual games.

You're doing great work here. The Salamander is one of the most "lived in" vehicles I've ever seen; it really seems like this is stuff that Guardsmen would have put on the vehicle instead of it just rolling off an assembly line with stowage already on it.

Nice work. I particularly like the bipod on the long-las, it's neat. Regarding Saint Sabbat, could you use the rules for Saint Celestine from the SoB list (assuming she still exists)?

I didn't know about Saint Celestine (never read the SoB stuff) I'll have to check it out thanks.

To make her true to the novel she'd have to be capable of taking out a Baneblade in one round of solo close combat so I suppose I'll have to make some compromises

Excellent work. Great weathering. I would love to see those on the field against me. My only criticism is you didn't clean all the mold lines, which unfortunately is painfully obvious when you drybrush silver over black on an autocannon.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!
