Ok I have this so far. I was looking to make this a competitive list and I intend on adding things later. What I need is tips tho to help compete against necrons and tyranids. I want to eventually have a army for tournaments but this is what I have so far.

Auspicious Daemonic Herald

No Bloodletters
No Skulltaker (a regular herald is better)
Don't buy instruments unless you deep strike everything
Don't take icons since they only work with same gods
Take two greater rewards on the DP
If you're going to run seekers you need to max out to 20 at join a herald for exalted locus and grimoire
take more screamers
Max out Heavy Support with either grinders or princes

I bought the battleforce box and thats what came with it minus the daemon prince and skulltaker. I was originally gonna be pavaane heavy but after looking at masque i doubt she will be useful.

Agreement with CrownAxe's points. Couple extras:
- Ditch the nurglings and put the points into more bodies in your other troops or an additional herald.
- Strip the character upgrades out of your troops as well, they rarely help and are dump points.
- Unless you have a specific plan for that hellforged artefact on your prince, they are usually better given to a herald hidden in a blob.
- If you're going Slaanesh prince, use a greater for a weapon and another for survivability. Biomancy is choice for a lash prince.
- Pick one or the other on the Fast Attack. The minimal sized groups are going to get toasted. Basically, pick a fast attack slot, max it out, pick herald of same alignment, equip with mount, locus and rewards. This seems to work well with Khorne, Tzeentch and Slaanesh.

And most of all have fun and try things out. Daemons make for a fun army with a number of playstyles available. The Daemon battleforce has solid models for building upon.

Man thats alot of modifications lol ill do that soon and edit my post to be easier read. My strategy was mainly pavaane them into my army and have them get wore out. Question tho....Would stats be any different if i had skulltaker on karanak instead of a juggernaut or bloodcrusher?

So what type of strategy and tactics would you recommend for a beginner in daemons
