Swarmlord
Doom of Malan'tai
Old one eye
Deathleaper
Parasite of Mortrex
Red Terror

I like the Old One Eye because in 5th edition, its worth 260 points it has a legend it was in Hive Fleet Behemoth and Sergeant Telion fought it with his warriors.
And another question: When Telion fought the Old One Eye, who were his warriors?

INSANE army lists still available!!!! Now being written in 8th edition format! I have Index Imperium 1, Index Imperium 2, Index Xenos 2, Codex Orks Codex Tyranids, Codex Blood Angels and Codex Space Marines!
PM me for an INSANE (100K+ points) if you desire.

Between

Deathleaper and The Red Terror both have a place in my heart.

Deathleaper because he's a fricken Lictor (Lictor? I barely knew her!), and the Red Terror because I will never forget the site of him coming on behind our Dark Angel reinforcements in an apocalypse game and swallowing Belial whole.

I've always liked Old One Eye.
The Parasite of Mortrex is pretty grim and awesome as well.

The Doom of Malan'tai on the other hand is probably one of the worst pieces of fluff in 40k. A single zoanthrope destroying an entire Eldar craftworld? Even Draigo is not that OP...
It is a miracle the Tyranids have so much difficulty in devouring the universe when they can produce creatures as powerful as that.

Old One Eye. Gotta love a creature that has been reportedly killed a dozen times...

Old One Eye. He's the Tyranid version of Wolverine.

Well Nids are the bane of eldar.... Shadow of the warp really messes with the eldar. It is very devestaing to them, read the books.

The Deathleaper, mostly because I took part in the old Medusa V campaign that got the Deathleaper back into the general Tyranid strains again. Nostalgia for my first community event.

The silly thing about it is that before, the Eldar had no problem in destroying an entire Tyranid hivefleet, yet a single Zoanthrope comes by and the whole craftworld suddenly inexplicably dies? And the Eldar somehow never even noticed the Zoanthrope was eating their souls, even though the Eldar are especially wary of such things because of the whole Slaanesh thing? How do Zoanthropes devour souls in the first place? And if they can, than why is this the only time we heard of one doing it? If Zoanthropes are that powerful, why don't the Tyranids field armies of just Zoanthropes?
It is just a really badly written and illogical piece of fluff. Hardly unique in the 40k setting, but this is one of the more extreme examples.

In Shield of Baal, they do just that (and develop the Maleceptors too). An army of human psykers start using their powers to roast a Tyranid swarm, so the Hive Fleet sends down a massive wave of Zoanthropes and Maleceptors which completely overpower the human psykers (and everyone else). A trio of Maleceptors go on to put Mephiston into a coma after they crush his mind, too.

The Swarmlord, mainly because i believe he is the Hive Mind himself that takes said form when he needs to.
Then again,i also believe Swarmy lost against Marneus so the Imperium would drop their guard against him a little.

Perhaps not, but since GW seems to subsist off sadness and pain, I can't rule it out.
