So, I bought Stormclaw, Deathstorm, a Lictor, a Sanquinary Priest, a Fenrisian Wolves kit and the Blood Angels, Space Wolves and Tyranid Codexi from an eBay retailer I've ordered orks from in the past. I plan on keeping the Stormclaw Orks for myself, since, besides a Warboss, I don't have any of the units it comes with. When I get more money, I plan on buying two Termagant kits, two Blood Angels Tactical Squad kits and two Space Wolves Pack kits. My brother John wanted Space Wolves, my brother Josh wanted Blood Angels and my friend Robert wanted Tyranids. I've never bought anything for those three armies before, hence why I bought Stormclaw and Deathstorm. They've all played War40k before, back before I sold my Dark Angels, Vanilla Marines and Chaos from Assault on Black Reach and Dark Vengeance, and they like the game however they've never owned their own armies before. How did I do? Will this be enough to hook them on the hobby?

Deathstorm is a fine start for both Tyranids and blood angels because there's some serious value in that box.
The problem is that you can't field the Tyranids outside of the formation you're given in the deathstorm book because you don't get a HQ option from the box.
I suggest buying a Hive tyrant and a squad of termagants. This gives him an HQ so he can play his army the way he wants. Also provides more synapse which is always good.
I'm don't have a lot of experience with either of the marine armies though.

It depends, have they got loads of $$$ to keep buying stuff, painting stuff etc?
If yes then they might get hooked.
Why not try something more tactical and cost effective like infinity, malifaux, bolt action...

A Hive Tyrant (built as a Flyrant) and one more box of Warriors would give two HQ options. The Tyrant obviously and a Tyranid Prime, which is surprisingly good at anti-infantry with five Warriors (which you would have) in casual games.
The Marine players need Rhino kits before their armies really unlock. Otherwise, yes. Blood Angels would benefit more from one Tactical Squad and a Rhino/Razorback than two Tac Squads. Still have to take Crassor, but it gives the requirements.

Can't afford too much at the moment, I'm afraid.
In order to get the Hive Tyrant, this is the new to buy list for my second purchase tomorrow:
Tyranids for Robert:
1 Termagants Kit
1 Hive Tyrant Kit
Space Wolves for John:
1 Space Wolves Pack Kit
1 Scout Squad Kit (To make Wolf Scouts)
Blood Angels for Josh:
1 Blood Angels Tactical Squad Kit
1 Sniper Scouts Squad Kit
That's the best I can do with the budget I'll be in. Normally I don't buy this much Warhammer stuff at once.

I have a friend who plays Dark Angels, so we're going to do a team game once the armies are ready. 600 points each for the Space Wolves, Blood Angels and Dark Angels as Team Imperium. I'll be bringing 1200 points of Orks and Robert will have 600 points of Nids and we'll be Team Xenos. It'll be Robert, Josh and John's first time playing with their own armies.

The fact that this needed to be said is sad...
600 points of nids?
Using Deathstorm mostly and the models you bought mostly.
HQ:
Flyrant, x2 Devs w/ E-Grubs
Elites
Venomthrope (Use your Lictor as a proxy)
Troops:
Warriors w/ x3 Devourers - 90
Termagants x19 - 76
Heavy Support:
Carnifex x2 Devs - 150
This list should do alright with the points you've given him. Only model you have to add is the Flyrant. Warriors aren't the best and are mostly used to unlock formations in larger games but at this points level just tell him to blob everything that's not the Flyrant together and try to get them to keep their toes in ruins for a 2+ Cover Save with the Venomthropes Shrouded. The Flyrant can fly around a dominate.
Lictors aren't bad but not too useful at this points level. They're used as guidance systems for Mawlocs, to snatch the odd Maelstrom objective and create an annoyance in the backfield that can't be ignored. You're better off taking a few of them rather then just 1.

It's not what you have, it's how you use it. If you can engineer something entertaining with only a few models, then it's still fun, regardless of how few models you have.
As for hooking them on the hobby, I guess that depends how much they're getting into painting and modelling. If they like it, then yeah, you're probably going to be fine.
Also, remember that the army isn't going to feel like "theirs" until they start choosing which units to take (and buying them themselves). You might want to be a little careful about going too overboard with this.
