I would have to invest in the deamons if I went with the following, but the CSM force is almost completely covered (apart from the hellblades). The idea is to give the opponent so much mech to deal with that they are overwhelmed.

CSM
Sorcerer (with cultists)

11 cultists (manning comms)

10 cultists (also manning comms in case others run)

Hellblade
Hellcannon

Hellblade
Hellcannon

3 terminators with combi-meltas (deepstrike)

3 terminators with combi-meltas (deepstrike)

1 Blood slaughterer (deepstrike)

1 Blood slaughterer (deepstrike)

Sicaran

ADL with comms

Mayhem pack
3 Hellbrutes with mms (deepstrike)

Deamons
The Blue scribes (rolling on Malefic for their autocast)

3 nurgling bases (probably deepstrike)

3 nurgling bases (probably deepstrike)

Soul Grinder of Slannesh (start on board)

Soul Grinder of Slannesh (start on board)

Soul Grinder of Slannesh (start on board)

2000pts

It appears that your Chaos Daemons Faction is using a CAD, rather than an Allied Detachment. I would drop two Soul Grinders and spend the points elsewhere.

If you're planning on having a decent amount of Psyker capability, upgrading your Sorcerer and exchanging the Nurgling bases to Horror squads may be beneficial to increase your overall WC.

There are merits to combining the Chaos Cultists into a single unit joined by the Sorcerer to minimize running away from the ADL. I would consider even upgrading them to autoguns and throw some weapon upgrades in the unit.

I like the concept. The terminators dont really fit , but not sure what id swap them for..
Nurgle spawn and jump pack melta bombs for the sorceror I guess.

Dont really get what the scribes are bringing

I'm going to need it to be double CAD as it's the only way to get 6HS, which is the aim of the big beastie mech list. The sorc is just there for tax purposes really and to increase the ld of the cultists until they have brought everybody in.
Unfortunately I won't be able to combine the cultists as I need 2 troops.

Yeh the termis do seem an odd one out. But they are there to DS with the Bloodslaughterers and mayhem pack to help prevent the opponent leading them around. Also to add to the minimal firepower of the list.
The blue scribes were because their was 85pts left and I needed an HQ tax for the deamons. Thought I may as well take something that has a decent chance of creating even more somethings, I would look forward to the time it turns into a bloodthirster, which should be once every other match (not including disspells), but bloodcrushers and heralds would also be welcome. Id hide the scribes behind LoS blocking terrain and just cross my fingers for various summons, or pop out and shoot the witchfires, before turbo-boosting back in. Even cursed earth wouldn't be too bad on a couple of soul grinders (although then the scribes would have to be in the open). Not too bad for a tax really.

Oops - forgot to mention in the list that the hellblades have hellcannons.

I could drop the 2 squads of termis, the scribes, a cultist, and drop a grinder down to a khorne grinder and deepstrike it.
With the points I could get a DP with MoN, 1 lesser, 2 greater, wings, warpforged armour, and ML2.

Sounds like a decent alteration.

Excellent. Also need to buy the hellblades on top of the deamons.
What do you think Captyn_Bob, you've seen my attempt at a renegades list as well. What should I do for my next army? Deamons or renegades?

As always, whichever models you like best.

I like the list but in my mind it has a couple of glaring issues. First and foremost, you have a pathetic amount of warp charge. Second, having a sorcerer with 10 cultists doesn't keep the cultists from running, it just causes the sorcerer to run. I replace the sorcerer with a lord so at least the guy manning the comms are fearless, and drop the blue scribes for a deep striking herald or jugger herald. If you cut a grinder you can find points for a bodyguard for the herald.

Yeh, im not interested in warp charges for this list, so dropping the sorc for a Lord is a pretty good call.
Making the changes captyn_bob suggested, would leave me with a combi-melta to drop to get the extra 5pts, then maybe spend the other 5 on a melta bomb... just in case he is ever in range and gets to use it. Or maybe an extra cultist.
I would hesitate to drop a soulgrinder as they are the main point of the list alongside the blood slaughterers.

Oh no - just realised... with the changes, I wouldn't have the combi-melta to drop.
Maybe I'll drop a second soul grinder down to another khorne grinder to save the points instead.

Just noticed Blood slaughterers come in units of 1-3. I would be very tempted to run them up the board with belakor making them invisible.

stick 3 impalers on and you're almost certain of getting a charge on someone within 12.

also- daemon of khorne so benefits form a nearby vehicle with the first war of armageddon legacy. Stack it with hounds, and you could conceivably "herd" them the way you want to go, to overcome the Blind Fury.
