So I didn't see this shown anywhere:

They've got the IG-88 stats up, and they look pretty cool.

Wow. Running 2 of those and remaining points as Z's will be gross!!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Does anyone else think that IG88-D (Hard Seignors loop) would be pretty much mandatory in a list with 2 IG-2000's?

Consider your IG-88D upgraded to IG-2000 with Advanced Sensors.
Coupled with IG-88C kitted out the same.
When your ready to bring the pain, Each ship gets to first boost, pick up a free Evade, then do a Segnor Loop either hard or soft. That's enough to even give Echo&Whisper fits.
Consider the various EPTs for more shenanigans...VI if your meta has PS 6-7-8 in abundance; Stay on Target so you can loop the other direction if your opponent does something unexpected; Outmaneuver to drop his Agility after you loop in behind.
And consider all 4 in an Epic Game...

It looks interesting and should be a powerful ship when it works right, but there are two big problems:

1) You're pretty much forced into a two-ship list with dual aggressors. The title card is way too powerful to take only one, and once you've spent that many points on your big ships you have to upgrade them properly. But, unlike current two-ship lists, you don't have the turret option to let you fly evasively and minimize incoming damage while protecting yourself against maneuvering mistakes that might cost you firepower. The aggressor is often going to have to choose between staying out of trouble and keeping a relevant target in its arc, and there's very little margin for error if you screw up. So the hard question is going to be whether the raw power when everything is working right is enough to justify the risks.

2) You're limited to PS 6 unless you spend your EPT on VI, and even with VI you're still only PS 8. This is a huge problem in a metagame with lots of PS 8+ arc dodgers. Sure, you're going to have lots of fancy maneuvering tricks against the PS 1-2 generics, but they're a lot less effective against Dash/Corran/Whisper/Fel/etc. You'll probably see a lot of games where your opponent dodges one of your two ships and the other one can't kill anything fast enough to save its outmaneuvered friend. And once you're down to one ship you're well on your way to a 100-0 massacre.

I like it when someone thinks as I do. Here's what I'm planning to try when I get my 2 Aggressors:

IG-88C (36)
IG2000 (0)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
Stay On Target (2)
Auto-Thrusters (2)
Advanced Sensors (3)

IG-88D (36)
IG2000 (0)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
Stay On Target (2)
Auto-Thrusters (2)
Advanced Sensors (3)

I think Stay On Target is a viable choice, especially at speed 3, with the C & D Aggressor pair. Other options for this build are replacing the HLC with the Mangler Cannon, SoT with PTL and adding a Seismic Charge to the mix.

I don't. SOT is great on high-PS ships, but you're limited to PS 6. All of the ships that are too hard to predict when you're setting your dial (phantoms, Dash, etc) are moving after you, so all you've really done is waste your EPT slot on a counter to the low-PS ships you should be able to out-fly without SOT. Don't forget that you have a boost action and a near-mandatory pilot ability that makes it essentially free (since after boosting you get the evade action you were probably going to take if you didn't boost) if you need to adjust your arc. It's not worth spending points and giving up PTL for a small advantage in the few situations where PS 6 + boost isn't enough.

IMO PTL is going to be almost mandatory for the same reasons as on TIE interceptors and a-wings: diverse action bar and lots of greens to clear stress. If you aren't stacking defensive actions your expensive ship is dead. Maybe predator or VI could be an option, but I'm not convinced yet.

I agree, PS6 is a major balancing factor for these guys. Imo C is going to be the most common by far - think of these things as big Interceptors, they need to be arc dodging what they can (they aren't going to dance as well as Interceptors due to the PS difference) and taking Evade + Focus most rounds to avoid damage. PTL is basically an auto include imo, they have access to Advanced Sensors and a dial with more green manuevers than it has white and red combined.

With the preview of the Mangler Cannon from the Scyk box, I'm thinking that "B" is going to be a viable option (when you have two ships to give cannons, saving 3 points each is huge economy). "C" and"D" are also obviously useful, but I still cant figure out a reason to run "A" over "B". Shield recovery is nice, but I'd rather have an evade token nearly every turn, rather than a shield every time i kill something.
