that's the point troike, people keep referring to this statement and can find no evidence of it, hence why I said fabled, and while I agree that BL authors can pretty much do whatever they like (as long as GW gives the thumbs up), the codex's support a link, the warp is the warp and things seem to slip through from time to time, we know that deamons can crossover and do so quite often, the chaos gods created the shadowlord (belakor) and once created he has always existed (oddly normal for chaos), so belekor running around in 40k for millions of years is fine, because he has always existed. then we have all the weapons that have come through, the liber chaotica books, deamons etc.
so while at some point a BL author may have said "no link" but since then we have had link after link, so that person either doesn't know what there talking about, didn't know what the actual company line was or its been changed since then.
in summary the universes are linked, but not connected, the warp links all realities and the fantasy one is just another link.
I imagine just about the only thing that could harm draigo in his armor would be magic. Anything STR D in fanstasy? thats what it would take to kill him - he is just a man under that armor afterall.
If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Nah, stick enough Hagsbane arrows in him (about forty?) and he'll die like anything else.

For what it's worth. I definitely saw an interview with a BL writer, once. I recall him saying saying something like how no matter how much you traveled through 40K's warp, you'd never reach the Fantasy world. But yeah, I'm aware of how weak the claim looks without a source. I did search, but I just can't find it. It does exist, sorry I can't give more than my word on that.
Formosa wrote: then we have all the weapons that have come through, the liber chaotica books, deamons etc.
Oh? When did weapons come through? Are you referring to those old books where Chaos Warriors could get bolters and stuff (I am pretty sure those were a thing)? As for specific Daemon characters, isn't their fluff fairly different between the two games? Been a while since I've looked into this stuff, but that's what I'm remembering.
As for any sort of link, I'm afraid I'm still not willing to say for sure one way or the other. Sure, there might be, I'm just saying it's not necessarily the case.

I think that the second round of retcon is funny in an interesting way.
It used to be strongly suggested that the Fantasy setting was in the same universe as 40k. Then they said it wasn't.
Now they say it is. Warp bubbles with worlds within colliding with each other as they freefall through the warp.

There is no link. Even if no one can find that fabled statement, the fluff still does not support it. In 40k, the Old Ones went extinct millenia ago, while in Fantasy, this was only a few thousand years. Also, Slaanesh already existed at that point, while in 40k, Slaanesh was only created somewhere in M30. So unless the Old Ones in 40k somehow survived into M30 (which did not happen, they were extinct for millenia at that point), there is no link. The shared features (Old Ones, Warp etc.) are only there because 40k started as a sci-fi version of Fantasy. Since then 40k has become its own universe. Draigo was probably nothing more than a little easter egg the writers thought funny to include, and it is the first "crossover" since the RT era iirc.

Slaanesh is an atemporal being that caused its own creation, so the "timeline" issue doesn't really exist.
The last crossover that I remember was during the Albion fantasy worldwide campaign, when a thunderhawk crashed on Albion, providing a set of 'magic weapons' strangely analogous to power armour, bolter and chainsword.

all of your no link evidence is easily explained away with in universe fluff, slannesh once born always existed, through the warp there is no "current" once born in 40k she could easily turn up a few thousand years ago in fantasy, the old ones in fantasy died a few millennia ago in fantasy, when is fantasy set? Well it doesn't matter as time doesn't matter with the warp, they also came in ships and monkeyed with the fantasy world until a great cataclysm forced them to leave, we suspect that cataclysm was the psychic races of 40k messing up the warp.
Your simply saying no link is not supported by the fluff at all, please provide evidence of no link as others and I have supplied evidence of a link.
Automatically Appended Next Post: To be clear, they are different realities connected by the warp, it links them, and daemons can walk between realities at Will, other things have slipped through from time to time as well however

... except for the part where Nagash waves his hand and Draigo explodes, because seriously, Nagash is the fantasy realm's equivalent of a C'tan. A whole C'tan.
Draigo may be a big fish in 40k, but in fantasy, he's really nothing impressive. The heroes of Fantasy outshine any mortal in 40k - you have to start bringing in titans to match the same kind of power level in a single individual.
Oh yeah? Homeboy can obliterate entire star systems with a single attack?

There is no way that will ever happen as draigo goes in the warp, he doesnt go back in time to the begging of mankind.

If there was an ork that could go back and kill himself to get 2 of his favorite gun, then there is no reason Draigo can't go all the way back to Fantasy (It's the same universe as far as I care), lift the Empire of Man out of the End Times, embrace his amazing psychic abilities that sustained him in the Warp, and realize he is the master of mankind.

Sorry for the run on sentence.
Terra is not the planet in Fantasy. Terra is a future version of our Earth, considering that the Emperor was born nearly in paleolithic times and 40k often references real wars or nations in our history, such as the Crusades or the Roman Empire.

So that would mean Fantasy is on a world far away, likely during the Old Night when everything was scattered and isolated. More the reason Draigo can come in and take over this (smaller) imperium of man.
For those saying in 40k it was millenia ago, you realize a millennium is 1000 years, yes? Given that years also vary depending on the planet(quite severely within our own solar system even)...That's a weak argument at best.
The warp transcends time and space in a sort of incomprehensible way.
The same way Slaanesh has always existed, but was also born.
I'm sure it is just a reference though.
And even if its not, by Draigo's own curse he would leave again and never come back after a few hours.
Personally, I choose to believe that Fantasy takes place after the Apocalypse that the end of 40k would be. So, in that case its entirely possible Draigo is still bouncing around.
In earlier editions of both Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40,000, there were many indications that the Warhammer World, the planet that is the primary setting for Warhammer Fantasy, was located in the same universe as Warhammer 40,000. In later editions of both games, Games Workshop moved to create more of a separation between the two fictional universes, although they have also never completely denied the earlier connections between the two settings. It is likely that the Warhammer World does exist in the same universe as Warhammer 40,000 as the Warhammer World is known to have been terraformed and reshaped by beings known as the Old Ones, the same alien entities as the Old Ones of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The Warhammer World's continents are arranged very similarly to those of Earth and may be an indicator that the Old Ones also played some role in shaping the Earth and affecting the development of mankind in general several million years ago, after their supposed disappearance from the galaxy. Other worlds in the Warhammer 40,000 universe have been discovered by the Imperium of Man that also have been terraformed into a shape reminiscent of Earth's distinctive continents. It is possible that the humans of the Warhammer World are settlers who first arrived on the planet many millennia ago during the Dark Age of Technology and then reverted to a primitive state as so many human populations did across the galaxy during the Age of Strife, while the Elf and Dwarf populations are beings shaped by the Old Ones from Eldar and Squat stock, respectively. Finally, the Greenskins (Orcs and Goblins) of the Warhammer World are clearly a type of feral Ork. The Forces of Chaos are even more active on the Warhammer World than they are on many other planets of the galaxy because of the collapsed Warp Gates the Old Ones built on the planet, devices that are very similar in function to the Eldar's Webway technology, which was itself derived from the Old Ones' knowledge of the Immaterium. These damaged Warp portals have allowed the Warp to manifest fully at the north and south poles of the Warhammer World, essentially creating two small Warp rifts at both ends of the planet similar to the Eye of Terror which spew Chaos energies directly into the physical universe, creating what the inhabitants of the Warhammer World call the "Winds of Magic." Because Chaos can manifest its forces directly on this world, its Elf, Dwarf and human defenders of Order are slowly but inexorably losing their battle with the Ruinous Powers.
Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Lord I hope not. Draigo is the poster child for purile Matt Ward bada**ery at the cost of any pretense at plot or consistency.
Draigo's one of the most horrid creations ever foisted on an unsuspecting gaming world. Burn it with warpfire, plasma, lasguns, big shootas, Volkite weaponry, Shuri-cats, pulse rifles and the collected hatred of every decent writer who ever walked the face of Holy Terra. Then drop cyclonic torpedoes on every planet that ever harbored anyone who so much as read Ward's tomes just to be sure.
Including me. What has been seen cannot be unseen.

My two teef.
the new codex actually managed to tone him down a little and make him a heroic but ultimatly tragic figure. heck if we assume this IS dragio it makes him even more down to earth. he's survived in the Warp because the curse he is under means he cannot die. he is instead forced to wander the warp for ten thousand years, no doubt watching as what he has built slowly is burnt down to ashes.
Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two
The Eldar are minions of the Old Ones, so it makes perfect sense for an Old One device to connect to an Eldar radio.
