Amazing paint job BTW.

No, not at all.

Those who dare stand in the way of the best Legion deserve the axe!

VERY nice work here, VERY nice!

Hahah it was that axe or a pathetic excuse tiny thing of an axe -so I went with bigger is better.
Have finished the headhunters....will upload a photo as soon as I track down my camera (took it to a whisky tasting last night - I cannot appear to locate it )

Finally got my Camera back. Woohoo! Left it in a Taxi but it eventually found it's way back to me, thankfully not everyone in the world is a gak bloke.
I have a finished squad of headhutners and a finished consul to show you all. Decided to include alllll the photos given it's my blog type thing (showcase thread just gets the final image collage).

First up, the headhunters:

Boltgun Guy:

Heavy Bolter Guy:

Squad Leader:

Shoulder Pad Symbol:

Fairly happy with how these turned out, although for some reason I think I like my Vets more? The Vets are more blue and the extra bit of silver across the chest makes a big difference IMO. The guns of these guys took as long to paint as the entire rest of the model too I swear! Also having them painted hasn't made them any better on the battlefield so far :(. Probably will use a bit less green wash (sprayed from 45 degrees roughly) in future, these are just a tad too green in parts I think maybe

Next up, the Consul:

have since fixed up those skulls on the backpack where I had accidentally rubbed some silver off!

His Axe:

Trusty Bolt Pistol:

Head Close Up:

Pretty happy with this fella I think. I like his cloak/cape better than the praetors - not sure I am 100% sold on the red bits of the axe but what can you do!

As always, feedback welcomed and appreciated!

Next up on my table is my Dreadnought, it is already blue so I should just finish it. I have my 10x Terminators ready to go with their shiney new shoulder pads too - once they are done I will need to go and buy a Sicaran or something as that is all the HH I have to paint :(

It's coming along - saving for a house and a wedding while trying to fund hobbies proves difficult sometimes though

Thanks for your feedback guys!
Sicaran on its way in the mail! Have been slack with painting this week, my Terminators are silver, need to wash them blue then spray them (and fix up the spray on my other dread). Hopefully over the weekend this happens.
Also scored a pay rise at work, might reward myself with a Calth box once that comes in next month

I am still toying with ideas in my head, I gotta figure out how to preshade before the Ghost Tint to get a less flat look over large surfaces. I also have been thinking with toying with some scale patterns, like this:

But I still really am not sure!

Also I have not forgotten about my plain bases, I will get into the local hobby shop eventually and pick up some stuff to stick on them!

Should be cool if you do the scales. Looking forward to see how it turns out.

Got these guys all blue!
Now to get to the details once time permits.
Also discovered if I paint the bases back to black before spraying the Plasma Fluid it doesn't make the base blue.

Just a quick update - will try and add some photos tonight but nothing complete to show you guys!

Got my Sicaran put together, it is blue/silver (ie about as done as my termies and dreadnought).

Dynat is half put together but want to spray him blue before he makes it into his base.

Skorr is put together but not even primed.

I am also currently in the process of sticking together 30 tactical marines - hoping to have them base coated by the weekend. If I do it means I will have the following things blue that just need detail work done:
1x Contemptor
10x Termies
30x Tactical Marines
1x Dynat
1x Skorr
1x Sicaran

In order words, lots of painted to finish, hardest bit will be deciding what first.....and to make matter worse I still want to add things to this army

Haven't gone the scale route like initially planned - couldn't justify the extra cost of the only suitable stencils I could find, also couldn't justify waiting longer Basically tried to make the bottom a bit darker, bought the blue Ghost Tint and sprayed from the bottom up kind of thing - just makes it look a bit darker towards the bottom of the armour plating, nothing exceptional by any stretch. Wasn't really home last night after work for long so ill see if I can make time this evening to put up some snaps!

Also looking at building a command squad for Dynat - anyone used Kromlech bitz before?

Aw..i was looking forward to seeing how you did the scales.

Still, it's a pain when stuff like stencils are pricey...and I can totally understand not wanting to wait longer to get cracking on stuff!
