Hey guys, I'm just wondering, what's the best way to play one of these in a 5000pt Apocalypse game. My list, which can be seen here contains a somewhat healthy mix of firepower and close combat. It is a mono-Khorne list. The things that stand out are an eight-man Bloodcrusher squad, an armour section including three Land Raiders and a Predator, and two Heldrakes.

Should I use the Lord of Skulls as my main firepower, apocalypse blasting everything out of existence while cleaning up the pieces with my other units, or should it provide support to the other stuff, waiting until it can get into close combat.

My other question is that we will be playing on a rather large board, 10" x 4" I believe. At least that is what the manager of the shop promised us for this game. Should I spread my guys evenly along my table edge, or should I stay relatively close together. My opponent will be playing Necrons and Grey Knights and will have Apocalypse size blast weapons too. Thanks for your help!

It really depends on your opponent Tbh. But generally you want a combat superheavy stuck in the middle of the fighting. So that when it explodes it takes the enemy with it.

Hence having the machine in the middle of your bunched-up army may be detrimental to your plans.
Yeah, get that bad-boy as fast as possible to the nearest super-heavy.
That D weapon axe tends to do bad things to huge tanks.
Have fun!
