So I am going to be playing a game against a GK player, he will mostly bring mostly DK and LR and paladins. He has always wanted to play against daemons and now finally has a chance. My list focuses mainly on summoning with trying to get a bunch of warp charges, and maybe castle up

HQ
Heralds
Khorne-juggernaut, greater and lesser rewards

3 Heralds of Tzeentch- all lvl 3

1 w/ portal

1 w/ grimoire and disc

Troops

2x pink horrors x11
Plague Bearers x10

Fast
Khorne Fleshhounds x10

Screamers x9

Heavy
SoulGrinder -phlegm, nurgle

CSM allie

Daemon Prince- lvl3 nurgle, wings, armor, gift, SF

Cultists x10

Vnidicator- possessed, warpflame

Bastion w/ quadgun, 1 barricade

Not sure maybe drop vindi and few other things for LR.

mostly the list looks fine. Taking one tank isn't so good in terms of threat saturation. maybe a helldrake would be more useful.

Why the plaguebearers? if you feel you need more scoring, i'd go for nurglings, but you can probably manage without, given your summoning options.

The reason for the plague bearers was for if he did bring a LR could use them to try and rust it to death.

I've never used a vindicator since I prefer LasPredators. A single S10 shot at 24" is less useful than three S9 shots at 48" (one is TL). The extra range helps you hide out of range of some of his guns. Heldrakes are always useful against armor 3 and against GK that'll sap his warp charge pool.

Perhaps those two extra pink horrors can be dropped to make up the 20 point difference if you choose to swap tanks.

The only reason, I really am not using the helldrake is I do not have the model and do not want to shell out the money for it

Eh, a single unit of 10 Plaguebearers is not likely going to get into range of the LR to do anything - they can't run so the tank can simply play keepaway. You'll probably just end up using them as area denial by forcing the tank to stay back until they're dead (I suppose that's not bad against an assault vehicle). I'd rather take a dedicated anti tank unit such as flying tzeentch prince or extra disc for one of those heralds to sit with the Screamerstar and use spells to take it out.

Understandable. Phlegm Bombardment is a good replacement for the AP3.

I wouldn't take any MCs or FMCs, they will be instant killed by force shenanigans

The only FMC I would really bring would be a nurgle prince with burning brand. And mostly nurgle powers for shenanigans.

The main reason for vindi is my opponent often brings paladins and vindicators ruin his day, since insta-kill.

Give the herald the Exalted locus so your flesh hounds can re-roll their hits.

Maybe consider Karanak, as he screws up special snowflakes and psykers, which grey knights have lots of.

Swap the CSM prince for Be'lakor, as he has shrouded (for 2+ jink save), 4++, eternal warrior, and is guaranteed both Invisibility and Psychic Shriek, all that for the price of one normal Daemon Prince!

Cut your herald of Tzeentch off of disc and use the points fill up your Flesh Hounds, as they cannot be hit by spells such as banishment.

Finally, if you have the model, cut some points for Fatweaver, as he provides 4 warp charges and the best warlord trait.

Playing:
Main:
-Chaos Daemons
-Sometimes CSM allies for Daemons
Alts:
-Dark Angels
-Inquisition, nobody expects the imperial
-Officio Assassinorum
-Legion of the Damned

Would it be worth bringing just a random sergeant upgrade. Just incase roll the warp storm that causes 1 character to take instability check?

Oooh, I forgot Karanak. I love his collar (any psyker within range perils on any doubles).
