Hello Guys, long time lurker here. Not sure if this is the proper place for it, but I'm hoping someone with sharp eyes and some Tau knowledge will let me know if they see any pieces missing in either of these two sets. One is for a Forgeworld Rvarna (God knows if anyone knows what that looks like) , and the other is for a hammerhead.

The hammerhead looks like it might have some wear and tear, what do you guys think? Worth taking the risk on these?

Based on the image it looks like the Hammerhead might be missing some bits that make it a skyray.

I'm not 100% sure, but that Hammerhead looks like it might be a recast. The material color/texture is kind of odd, some of the sprues look like they're from resin casting instead of injection-molded plastic, and some of the parts (the top of the Hammerhead's hull, for example) seem to be warped like resin parts often are.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Not 100% sure I agree with you here. It looks pretty similar to the way my Hammerhead looked.

I think it's missing some of the more innocuous pieces like a door (I can only see one side door). Spotted it.

Although i don't have that riptide variant, it appears to missing some components to make the leg (at least half one of the leg components) unless that's hidden from view.

Look at the landing gear, the sensor spines and some of the bits for the sky ray turret in particular. They have long gates on them like what you'd see from a resin casting. The hammerhead is a plastic kit and not only do those not look like bits cut from a plastic sprue, but those bits wouldn't normally have bits of sprue left on them anywhere near that long anyway.

I am pretty certain that the hammerhead is a recast. It has gates on the back of the railgun, and many of the smaller pieces.

The first pic is a repop. Compare yours with this pic of items still on sprue:

Thanks guys. I should probably pass on the hammerhead. The other model is pretty rare this side of the atlantic, but I'll probably pass as well, it's a pricy model.

Might be my eyes but the resin on that Forgeworld Riptide looks significantly darker than my ones.
