Hi everyone, I just need some second opinions on what units to take for antitank in my new World Eaters Army, my unit selection is pretty tight and so is money so there are only a couple of options to choose from!

The base of the army is:

HQ
Kharn the Betrayer

Troops

19 Khorne Bezerkers: 18 chainaxes, champion with powerfist, Icon of wrath

20 Khorne Bezerkers: champion with powerfist, Icon of wrath

This costs me 1025 pts, but apart from Kharn I don't really have any AT.

So I can either add in:

3x autocannon +2 Lascannon Predators for 115 each which would give me 50 pts spare

or

3 squads of 3 terminators all with combi melta and a squad of 5 raptors with 2 melta gun

so what option does dakka think is best?

..i'd go with the terminators, of those two options.

Flesh saturation. Waste the enemys anti tank weapons by giving them no tanks.

Oh no! I know that you are looking for anti-tank advice, but I really wouldn't take two blobs of 20 berzerkers. Imagine what your opponent could do with 1500 points of shooting to 40 T4 3+ save units....

I wouldn't run a squad of berzerkers without a land raider. Just too easy for them to die any other way, and at 22 points a pop, you will lose some serious points before they reach close combat.

But, if you really want to run them this way, I would take 3 Predators with the TL Lascannon and Lascannon Sponsons, so you can immediate, turn one, kill stuff like vindicators, or stuff with battle cannons and what not that can kill literally over 100 points of berzerkers with a single shot.

Just a heads up, but Berzerker hordes were viable in the last codex. Back then they had an extra attack and only cost 19 points, but it could explain where OP got the idea.

That said, I agree completely with the blobs being too big. At the very least, I would divide them into at least four squads. They aren't going to fail moral checks for losing X% of troops in a turn due to being fearless and will be able to cover more of the board a lot faster. You'll also be less vulnerable to AP3 pie-plates and template weapons (Like the Baleflamer and Battle Cannon).

Not to mention that scattered squads of uneven numbers is more World-Eatery, which is another thing to think about.

Also, don't be afraid to bring some old fluff into your army OP. The "Teeth of Khorne" were a thing decades ago. They were basically Havocs with the mark of Khorne.

Actually, that could solve your anti-tank issue too.

The army is not meant to be overly competitive anyway. And if I was going to try and make it so I would take both and build it up to 1850 (:

My only concern with taking the preds would be that it doesn't take heat of the bezerkers but the 4 units deep-striking into the enemy lines will force them to deal with the closer threats allowing the zerkers to get close mostly intact.

If i wasn't so paranoid about giving away first blood I would stick them all in rhinos and rush forward 18" turn 1! But that feels very like 5th edition...
