Hello,

When we will have a glimpse of the future of WFB? I come from a videgame background, and many events are where stuff get announced like PAX, E3 and many others.

Do we have an event( or at least time slot) where we will get to know more about the upcoming changes?

Which happens to also be a few hours after it's all sold out already.

I have a fair amount of experience in this question.

I do not consider something TRUE until there is an official GW print or web source for it.

FALSEĀ is generally the absence of such a source in a reasonable amount of time (either within the month predicted or within a year or so for non-date specific rumors).

I think I didn't made myslef clear. What I want to know if any of you is expecting a date for it to be revealed as truth. I saw some people talking about waiting till april, but why april? Is there some form of schedule or not?

April is the rumored month that GW will be releasing 9th edition.

But we won't know for sure until a week before the date GW chooses, they don't talk with anyone.

Sad thing is, I was reading an old white dwarf today (issue 223) and in it they had the first article showcasing the development of Mordhiem. This issue just featured the background fluff (which is excellent), and I remember later issues even having beta rules in them. At the same time it showcased the development process of a game in the studio.

Wish we could have something like that now :(

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

Given the nature of warhammer's online community I'm not so sure that would be a positive development. Before all the angry nerds could do was stew in silence, while everyone else quietly enjoyed what GW chose to share. Now those angry nerds can jump on warseer and whip themselves into a frenzy that draws others into it like a swirling vortex of negativity and despair. GW would end up spending more time with damage control than they would focusing on developing new products.

Take these rumours of "bubblehammer" for instance. Would GW really be better off trying to explain them in a press release? Or just not feeding the rumour mongers until the final ET book came out to explain how everything comes down. Just like with the combined elves, it's tough to justify those sort of fluff changes to a passionate audience without giving them the full weight of the background behind it.

There is not this idea.

I don't know. I still would like to see some communication from them, as opposed to almost none.

With the topic name, I'm surprised that no one's made a Schrodinger's cat joke yet.

Indeed, GW rumors are very much like that.

A GW rumor is both true and false until the release actually comes out.
