Castellan Crowe and his purifiers are here to prove the internet wrong about them! Can rhino bunkers with cleansing flame and dual psycannons beat back the Necrons or are the new rules too much?

So, what are your thoughts, could you potentially deal with this necron list in maelstorm where you need to controle objectives? Without using something like an IK or other S: D / stom source?

I moved up field aggressively to get the Relic and then retreat back but unfortunately he made multiple 9+ inch charges turn one and tied me up. I believe if I had a couple more turns to remain stationary and unload full salvo 4 psycannons on him, I could of done MUCH better.

That being said, even after getting tied up I was still doing 10-15 wounds to a unit and the 3+ armor, 4+ FnP rerolling 1s, and hot dice just NOTHING would die. The new Necron formations are insanely durable.

If I brought terminators instead of strikes, I could of stalemated or beaten thr lychguard but their AP3 weapons tore through purifiers like butter.

I enjoyed my list but the mixture of the mission requiring me to get close or risk letting him take the relic, and spamming marines vs an AP3 deathstar didn't go in my favor this game.

The chariot player gets to choose in shooting, but not in CC

I thought attacks in CC versus the barge go against the character, not the vehicle.... and with the new necron rules, the phase shifter only protects the character, not the vehicle.... correct?

correct. So if you run the barge you don't want to go against s8+ or armourbane CC.

But... if CC against the barge only hits the character, what would armourbane have to do with it? I would definitely be afraid of Wraithknight S10 CC hits as the Lord is T5, correct? I want to clarify because I am sure I will be facing these in my local meta, a lot. On a related note, I dont recall the specific but I thought I remember reading something in the necron codex regarding RP rolls vs ID attacks...

The owner of the chariot gets to decide where shooting attacks get allocated.
CC attacks can hit either the lord OR the barge; decided by the person making the attacks.

So, if you are attacking a bargelord with weak strength 4 attacks, you choose to have those hit the lord since they can't hurt the chariots armor. If you have strength 8 armorbane, you choose to have those attacks hit the barge and try to blow it up in a single attack rather than trying to slowly wound the lord to death past his invuln save.

Correct.
