Having gotten fed up of having nothing but a handful of dice trying to roll 6's in a pretty psyker heavy Meta locally I decided to pick up a cheap Libby in power armour.

I now am stuck as to where to put him, I'm tempted to leave him in the backfield alone in cover but then will lack the range on most of his powers.

I run imperial fists tactics, usually a las pred, Vindi, pair of tactical squads, a drop podding dread then a bike squad with gravs and a artificer biker captain as a warlord.

I'm semi tempted to pop him in a razorback with a combat squadded half a tactical squad and a flamer, let's him move forwards relatively safely, adds 5 ablative wounds and fits with my list (the other half a squad can sit with a heavy Bolter somewhere laying down dakka)

I know ideally I would have him on a bike or as a termie but I don't have the models to do the conversion and my model fund is totally empty for a few months.

I also considered drop podding him in with Sternguards but frankly the main purpose for him in the list is to give me 4+ rolls to dispel against the myriad of powers I come up against and podding him in seems an easy way to lose him early.

Remember that you only get the 4+ against powers that target you or a model within 12' of you.

Personally, I'd say run him in a Razorback. What else is in your meta? Razors are not hard to pop in my experience.

Honestly, unless you see and absolute ton of Psykers using offensive powers rather than buffs, using him purely for dispels is a waste of potential. I'd throw him in with the Sternguard, taking Psychic Shriek and Prescience. Assuming you are using the combi-bomb method for Sternguard, Prescience will help immensely with that, and after that, Psychic Shriek is a very nasty thing to have in your backfield, especially against MCs or elite/expensive-per-model units with weak Invulnerables.

Agree with this, best played aggressively. Place him in a Sternie/Assault squad DP that comes down T1 and uses Psychic Shriek to soften up the intended target. Sometimes they even break and leg it off the board, leaving your boys free to target something else. Rolling on Invisibility/Shrouding or even Terrify is a bonus (Terrify combined with Psychic Shriek can be devastating) but you can't roll on Divination with an Imperial Fist Libby so no prescience for you my boy
