I know suspension of disbelieve means little in this setting but that Sister sounds horribly written. It was all believable and badass until she escaped Ahriman, one of the most powerful Psykers in the galaxy, powered through the warp and played Dress-Up as a Succubus.

It should be impossible for a non-augmented human to even pose as an Eldar, let alone a Succubus. Then to say she fought against Bloodbrides without revealing herself as human is ridiculous. Not saying it's impossible for her to win the fight, but it would be impossible to keep up with there Speed. And when she is found out for a slow oaf (in comparison) she'd get ripped to shreds.

I'll keep my eyes open for it, maybe Black library will re-print it. Maybe sometime this year if sisters get a hardcover 'dex release and a wave of plastic miniatures...(this'd be the year to do it GW!)

She is the shared conciousness of the entire flock of SOB she was captured with. I mean comeon Ahriman is just a mightier sorcerer not a god so people can escape from him and didn't she become a Saint? I mean this setting has quite wild stories and you gets rankled over this one?

She predates the existence of Bloodbrides, but yeah, please note that this is the same comic that features a Inquisitor disguised as a Black Templar space marine who isn't revealed until he takes his helmet off, and then the Black Templars act shocked. :p

Being a comic book, you should give the writers some leeway. The implication with the Fighting Pit is that between her training and her Faith, she simply was that fast.

Astral Knights Chapter Master who basically used a SM Battle Barge to ram the Necron World Engine. Sort of badass, but other Imperial guys has done similar stuff and not been Space Marines.

Still worthy enough to be considered badass.

But I reckon that its a toss-up between Straken (because he killed a shark with his teeth) and Huron (he got shot with a Meltagun at point-blank, AND LIVED)

What about the Chaos Gods themselves? I mean they fight and are gods who have destroyed other gods (mainly Eldar I think), and Empy even as he is dying is holding the Warp at bay in his looong dying moment which is extremely badass. Though it more and more looks like he has help in achieving that from later fluff.

Aside from the Emperor who is supposed to embody kicking ass and self sacrifice, Sly Marbo is always there to kill and blow and things up in the name of the emperor. He's just some regular human, but completely insane about how he deals with things, which either makes him a nutball or the most badass character in 40k ever. Too bad he's not reappeared since 5th edition.

Ollanius Pius, Maugan Ra or Alessio Cortez (for the "It's just a flesh wound"-comment).

I personally really dislike Sharrowkyn and find him pretty boring.

Sharrowkyn is a Raven Guard space marine who pulled a headshot on Fulgrim and killed Lucius (whom Fabius Bile resurrects in some way).

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

As far as humans go, Ollianus Pious, almost definitionally.

He's not exactly human, of course, but like all the perpetuals, he's an archetype.

The Emperor is the Leader. Malcador is the Conspirator. Vulkan is the Smith. John Grammaticus is the Spy. Damon Prytanis is the Assassin. And Oll Person is the Soldier.*

He's arguably older than Maugen Ra - the Aspect Shrines date from the Fall of the Eldar Empire, which is the birth of the Eye of Terror, in about M.30. Oll, by comparison, has been fighting wars for about 32,000 years before this.

One of the flashback scenes sees him in central Anatolia and having pretty much the X-Men:First Class Wolverine cameo with the Emperor.

And....yeah. He's quite scary in a fight. You hear legends of the Phoenix Lords destroying such-and-such a hive fleet, or fighting for so-and-so many days. But in Know No Fear you get to see, in detail, Oll in a fight. Emptying a lasgun, firing from the shoulder at a run, and landing purely headshots is in some ways more scary than any amount of semi-mystic hyperbolae.

And yes, I suspect he will be on the vengeful spirit, but I don't think it'll be by accident. He's been sent to get something, and to get it to the ship at the appropriate moment - presumably either an athame or the anathame - which will either be the weapon which sanguinius uses to open up the supposed chink in horus armour, or the weapon the emperor actually uses to stab horus.

* Possibly also - Kharn is the Bezerker. Because he's been killed twice that we know of and later been found to be alive. Yes, it could be 'chaos did it', but there's no actual evidence of that - no mutations, no marks on the flesh, no obvious daemonic influence.

What makes you think Malcador is a Perpetual?

The background available on the final fight between Horus and the Emperor doesn't suggest that the Emperor kills Horus with a physical weapon (or even if I recall correctly land a blow on Horus). The Emperor destroys the Warmaster with a psychic attack.

If one of the times Kharn is supposed to have died was when he was impaled on the rhino I don't think he was meant to have been killed by that; merely removed from the fight.

Or that awesome saint Celestine!

Frankly, Celestine doesn't hold a candle before most of the characters listed. She's a one trick pony with a bit of sword skill, but she mostly relies on her ability to come back to life to get anything done.

She has good game stats, but she has no real legend. She's known for being a figure head leader and never staying down for long, but you can't name any great feats of heroism beyond "led the rest of the crusade".

Celestine is about the only repentia that was received back into her squad... and then killed a daemon prince on her own making her way through black legion dudes.

Coming back to life is something that i wouldnt call confirmed. No one really knows what happens to her.

As for Sigismund, that dude took down 25 chaos champions in the siege of terra on his own. Kharn was probably among those (perhaps when they expand on that fluff, they will put them fighting against each other).

Celestine was never received back into her squad. She was a Repentia, then she was a Saint, but she never returned to the regular order of battle.

Technically you are correct - she, however, became more than just a sister of battle, but she was still one of them. She lead her sisters to more battles after her sainthood.

He's more fanatic dialed up to 11. I can only imagine Azrael sitting by the desk, rubbing his brows, as he goes "what has he done now? Demanded master Jerimiah destroy a recruitment world because some of his scouts failed the litany of sacrifice. No, keep him there. I'll be there in a moment."
