I know a few hidden talents on dakka in terms of musicians and musicianship.
Any favs?
Gotta crank the bass for this one, pure bass pedal work with a "smattering" of time signatures
Yes he has mixed the drums to be louder compared to the original Still though 5.54-6.01
I can play trumpet and trombone. I haven't touched either of them in about 5 years though. I fethed around with a guitar for about a year too, but that never really went anywhere worth talking about. I can read sheet music also.
(anyone want to start up the angriest little ska band in STL?)
Oh, and I don't count it as "music", but I did do some screaming for a metal band back in high school.

Took about 4 years of piano and a year of guitar. Learned that I am not a musical person (mostly though being too lazy to put in the practice), although I appreciate musical talent in others.

Don't knock it, metal screaming can take some serous talent and training to not blow your voice out in the first 5 minutes of an hour long concert. I've tried to do metal before. It didn't end well.

Like watching other people play video games (badly) while blathering about nothing in particular? Check out my Youtube channel: joemamaUSA!

I mess around with the bass and guitars on occasion. I've made a few cigar box guitars and play slide on those. It's good fun. I sing for fun, and when I use to smoke I could do metal really well and sang on a few tracks for a buddies band, but after quitting smoking I just had to put to much effort into getting that growl that it hurt my throat.
Grade 5 Cornet, due for Grade 6 exam in a few months. Self-taught piano/keyboard, and messed about with a guitar and ukulele for about a year, to no real end. Decent at singing.
I do piano/keyboard, guitar, and am a decent singer. I mostly just play along to musicians I like though. I'm much too shy to actually do anything with it.

Played the Cello a long time ago, then moved to a Trombone, then messed around with an electric bass, then toyed with a soprano Trombone which is pretty much a Trumpet with a slide, then played a valve Trombone which is a Baritone held like a Trombone and now I'm working on the electric bass and Violin again. I still suck at all of it ... ...
Mostly working on Rolling Stones on the bass and Irish Fiddle music with the Violin

A buddy of mine played tuba in band. That thing was mighty. I played the baritone sax in school band personally. It was good fun playing that instrument
I can play my bayan a bit and sing, but nothing much beyond what I get taught in music classes at school.
I tried to learn to play the piano, but gave up on it as I was too lazy for all the homework.
I also gave the trumpet a try, I liked it, but did not have the money to buy one and never got more than a few lessons.
A friend of mine plays drums in a band.

I never said I completely unappreciated metal. Metal and music intersect at places. What we were doing didn't intersect with music basically anywhere.
