Basically I want your opinion on what to get next. Im probably going to purchase more boyz and trukks but i want other opinions

I have:

Ghazkuul
Warboss
Big Mek
Painboy
Weird Boy
15-20 Nobz
90-100 Boyz
1 Trukk
2 Battle Wagonz
29 Lootas
6 Deff Koptas
2 Fliers (Dakkajet and a bomber)
12 bikers
1 Morkanaut

if your gonna have ol gazzy, you have to have some meganobz for those wagons!

Aye, some Meganobz would be good.
Then Mek Gunz!

Meganobz would really supplement your army.

Meganobz + Painboy + Ghazzy in a Battlewagon = murdertime.

Also, the Stompa is a really fun kit to build and paint and it can be fun in big games.

apart from meganobz i might go for some more trucks to get those boyz up the board or some warbuggies

yep, thats how I was leaning, more trukks.

I don't like the idea of Mega nobz because they cost to much and are easily killed by AP2 weapons with no invul. Once you get them into CC they would be great but hey have to survive that long and they would draw an inordinate amount of firepower. 3 Meganobz is 150pts I would rather just Eavy Armor nobs with 1-2 PK's and get the same result, and I don't feel as bad when one or two of them dies.

I completely understand why you might be put off by how many points meganobz cost but it seriously is well worth it. In my opinion meganobz and nobz fill the same role in an army but meganobz are actually more efficient at it. How do you usually field your units of Nobz?

You've got a great selection of units to use, the main thing you seem to be lacking is transports. Another battlewagon (or two) and four (or five) Trukks would give you a lot of versatility in your lists. Three more Warbikers to have a full squad could be good too, and having the models for a Warboss/KFF Big Mek/Painboy on Warbikes would be cool.

I usually field my nobz in a squad of 10 with a painboy and my warboss in a trukk. All have Eavy Armor and 1-3 Powerklaws including warboss. Everyone else is bare. The warboss has special stuff but I also field my bikers as nob bikers sometimes to get that all important 2nd wound and with T5 its pretty damned hard to insta kill them

I don't know what kind of magic you use to get your nobs across the table in trukks. But I have to imagine it is because you're confusing target priority. Which is the same way you get any unit you care about across the field.

I also wanted to inform you, everything we orks have is "easily killed by ap2" and we have 1invuln save and it's on a 2 wound independent character. Fun stuff... But 2+armor sure doesn't die as easy vs any other AP value. Are you charging wraith guard or something?

Thats very true, everything orky suffers from AP2 but with that said Id rather not stack points into armor that will get prioritized and destroyed. I just heavily reinforced my army so i haven't had a chance to run battle wagonz, planes or half my bikes.

Generally what I do is load the WB and his nob buddies into the trukk and use it and the bikers to go as quickly forward as possible, If I can't use cover on the trukk then i use the bikers as a mobile 5+.At the same time my Morkanaut and 2 very large scary looking 30man boyz squads foot slog their way forward with the leading boyz in each squad under morky's 5+ to minimize casualties. Furthermore my lootas will be sitting on something that gives them a cover save and gets them a good LoS, unloading on anything that S7 can hurt (light armor, heavy infantry) Turn two Declare waaagh,bikes go 12 and shoot at something, trukk goes six, WB and Nobz disembark 6 and then run. Boyz continue to footslog with morky and lootas continue to lay down firepower. Finally in the assault phase the WB, nobz and bikers all charge units.

Doesn't always work but it is always fun to see the surprise on my opponents face when my Boyz/Warboss/Nobz all run and charge in the same turn.

Tankbustas! Take with a nob w/BP. Just scary enough nobody wants to ignore them . . . and melta bombs!

Wait... There is only one trukk on the field... And you have your warboss in it? And you're telling me it has ever moved when you didn't have first turn? Because I find that really hard to believe. You're putting our easiest to destroy vehicle on the board with your warlord and nothing else on the table that needs to be shot at, and they make it?

I'm so glad you're playing against players that can't understand you are fielding a unit that is going to give them first blood and slay the warlord...

Wow... So in reality, where players understand target priority, you have to confuse target priority. Meaning have fast units, like your bikes or storm boyz or high damage at good range like lootas or mek guns. Maybe multiple heavy units that hit hard and need AP to deal with like battle wagons with mega nobz.

So... Please, confuse target priority if you do nothing else. I honestly can't imagine the opponent that doesn't sink your nobs before the get to grunt, let alone your warboss getting to call a Waaaggghhh!

the target priority for most of my opponents is the Morkanaut, for some reason it scares the hell out of them. And besides my bikes go with my Trukk to provide it with a mobile cover save. And when I deploy I always put the trukk in cover or next to morky to get the CS. So yeah even if they kill my trukk first or 2nd turn it's ok because that means my bikes are usually unscathed and like I said about 50% of the time my warlord is a biker warboss lol.

They fear the claw? Because besides a traveling invulnerable save it's an overpriced mek gun...

You just hit the nail on the head. People are SCARED of that big model, even though it doesn't do a whole lot more then provide a invul save against shooting attacks. Granted its twin linked rokkitz and KMB and KMK do tend to eat light armored and medium armored vehicles. I even once got lucky and hit a deep striking termy squad dead on with the KMK and annihilated them in one shot. :-P

Alright I finally gave in after Titan threatened to kill my goldfish with a spork, I am now the semi proud owner of 3 Meganobz and a brand new trukk which they will take a ride in. :-p

Im not done building them and haven't started painting them yet. I have one equipped as a big mek with a tellyporta blasta. And all of them have removable arms so i can change weapon builds. Im leaning towards 1 with double kill saws and 2 with kombi flamers and power klaws.

I understood the hesitation of taking meganobz last edition because, unlike nobz, they didn't have invluns or FNP.

They now have the same access to FNP and no one has invluns. Compared to nobz, meganobz only real weakness now is that they are bulky. But if you compare the price of nobz + armor + PK v meganobz, meganobz are actually 8 points cheaper with a better save. That's a good deal.

meganobz can't run, which can hurt, can't overwatch, which is eh, and can't sweeping advance, which rarely makes a difference imo. And if they ever fight things that are str 8 ap2 (like TH/SS terminators) they will get their asses KICKED. But same thing happens to nobz.

Meganobz have weaknesses, and getting their wagon blown up across the field from their target sucks. But if you've got the transport capacity, (non biker) nobz have few useful advantages over meganobz. The best thing they have is +1 WS from a waaagh banner, which can be given to meganobz via DLS.

But apart from that, I'd recommend, like others have, tankbustas and mek guns. Big fan of both.

yeah, seems reasonable. really not sure about the big mek with teli porta blasta :/ you may not find them as cost effective with him, but give it a go anyway

I just love the idea of a Big Mek with MA charging an enemy unit and before he gets their he fires a S8 Ap2 blast that has ID on To wound rolls of 6 :-P and I have a feeling it will batter some people into submission. Plus if I take a big mek in my MA Nobz you better believe hes getting DLS. Now heres a question for you, Can the Big Mek replace BOTH his weapons with Kill saws for 10 points each or does he have to pay the 30pts to change the PK to a Killsaw?

Big Mek ges a KMB and PowerKlaw.
Only the KMB can be exchanged for a Killsaw, not the PowerKlaw.

But you do get the extra Attack, as bother Killsaw and PowerKlaw are specialist.

that is all i cared about. I don't see the point in taking a KMB. The idea of killing my warlord with his own weapon just seems to likely even with a 2+

Fun thought if you're sold on the tellyport blasta - a KFF is generally preferred for army support, but you can't have both.

But you CAN have a tellyport blasta and a relic mega force field. It's a pit pricey, but to the best of my knowledge it's legal, as there aren't any restrictions on the mega force field, other than it has to be on a big mek.

hah kapn krump that is a nice thought, your 100% right but i dont think i would field it, you can yell at me all you want but i play RAI ;-p and we both know that it was meant to be that way
