Necron Overlord on Catacomb Command Barge. Barge has Living Metal -
"A model with this special rule ignores the effects of Crew Shaken (but still loses a Hull Point). At the end of each of your turns, roll a D6 for each of your Heavy or Super-heavy vehicles with this special rule that has less than its starting number of Hull Points, but has not been destroyed. On a roll of a 6, that model regains a Hull Point lost earlier in the game." (Necron Codex, 2015)
Overlord rolls on personal traits as Warlord, gets 6; Immovable Object - Gains Fearless and It Will Not Die.
"At the end of each of your turns, roll a D6 for each of your models with this special rule that has less than its starting number of Wounds or Hull Points, but has not been removed as a casualty or destroyed. On a roll of 5+, that model regains a Wound, or Hull Point, lost earlier in the game." (7th Edition main Rulebook)
Barge takes a glancing hit.
Do you get then two rolls to repair? Two separate rules, two separate qualifying results (6+ on LM, 5+ on IWND)
Necron codex specifically states that you cannot take both FNP and a RP roll. It makes no such distinction on LM.
Another like situation would be a Tyranid with IWND and Regeneration.

The command barge isn't a heavy vehicle so doesn't get to repair hull points on 6+

Obelisk - Super Heavy
Tesseract Vault - Super Heavy
Monolith - Heavy
Doomsday Ark - Skimmer
Annhilation Barge - Skimmer
Doom Scythe - Flyer
Night Scythe - Flyer
Ghost Ark - Skimmer
Triarch Stalker - Walker
All the vehicles listed above have Living Metal. Are you saying then that even though they have the upgrade, it does not work on 2/3 of the entire codex?

There are two parts to living metal
"A model with this special rule ignores the effects of Crew Shaken (but still loses a Hull Point). At the end of each of your turns, roll a D6 for each of your Heavy or Super-heavy vehicles with this special rule that has less than its starting number of Hull Points, but has not been destroyed. On a roll of a 6, that model regains a Hull Point lost earlier in the game."
The first part affect all vehicle types. The second part only affects heavy and super heavy vehicles

the first part of the rule works "A model with this special rule ignores the effects of Crew Shaken (but still loses a Hull Point)." But not the rest of it.

It does work on the entire codex. Only 3 units get to regain hull points, however. The rest only get to ignore Crew Shaken, like the rule says.
And rolling for IWND and Regeneration there's no conflict - it'd be 2 rolls.

This is interesting not just because of Living Metal but also because of the Phylactery which grants IWND to both the rider and the CCB.
However being that the Chariot/Rider is a single model, I believe the the IWND roll is a single D6 roll and on a 5+ both the Rider and CCB gain the Wound/HP.
my .02 cents anyway.

It wouldn't gain a Wound AND Hull Point, personally I think the owning player should choose which, but not both.

I believe that both CCB and overlord should get their own separate IWND rolls. Won't make sense to state that both the overlord and chariot gets IWND otherwise IMHO.

First of all necro bumping a thread is bad.
Second of all chaiots and their riders count a s a single model so of course they only get a single IWND roll
